Resident Evil 4 for Wii on the Dolphin emulator

Why play RE4 on a dolphin emulator with sync issues and lag on a powerhouse, when you can play the PC version on a mid/low range PC with no problems?

uh yes, yes really. it's not even up to discussion, the PC port looks like shit compared to the console counterparts. the lighting is messed up, and none of the filters are turned on.

@LfunkeyA That's why there was a patch released shortly after the port. Besides, since when has graphics been a part of resident evil? Play the original games. They look like shit but are more fun than the garbage crapcom has been throwing out recently.

the patch does not fix it entirely, and that's a poor argument. sure the game would be fun with stick figures, but i want to be able to run it as it was intended. no reason for it to look that bad on PC.

you can use pc version.....use mouse patch....texture patch......high environment patch....movie hq patch.....and patch 1.10.....

Does anyone know why this game has problems with Dolphin when you enable gecko codes? I can't get through a door because it just shows a blackscreen with the sound still working but no response from the controller or anything, the emulator doesn't lock up or anything though, it works fine.

why would you want emulate a game that is for pc?

Emulating is usually done to play exclusive of a console

@MrTURBOJOHN I can think of a few reasons.

1) RE4 is one of the more graphically intense Wii games, so this could have been done just as a demo of what Dolphin is capable of.

2) If you're going to emulate some of your Wii games, you might as well emulate all of them so that all of your games are together.

3) The PC version didn't have mouse controls.

4) The Wii version has better graphics.

@SOULTAKIFY The PC version is terrible and besides being a port from the PS2 version it also has stability problems...I know about the mods and such but I don't know if it really helps...

Also, it has that issue with not having mouse aiming and even though there's a fanmade patch it really just seems to emulate an analog stick instead of actually feeling like you're using a mouse...

I personally would prefer this (but with the gamecube version) but I have already beat the game 3 times...

You need to overclock your PC for Dolphin if you don't have a high end cpu, it requires a shit load of cpu power. Some games just aren't supported properly, and it doesn't really matter what your specs are. I have a Core I7 950 with a GTX 570, and this game runs pretty smooth on my PC, at stock clocks.

i have a question.. when i download Isos it comes on win rar files. how do put it to like iso to play it

@ultimatelife11 download a program called 7 zip and right click on the .rar file and extract it. it should then extract it to a folder. inside that folder you'll see a bunch of other files similiar to the one you just extracted. highlight all of those and extract them as well. again it should extract those into another folder. inside that folder you'll find your ISO :)
