Why should anyone take a review from a total sucker!! I am getting a nook for only 200 bucks. I don't like the kindle because of the small buttons. A touch screen is easier to operate. Also, because Barnes & Noble is mainly a book seller, there is a lot more to choose from.

You don't use that button up top to activate the touch screen you press it to get to the menu! RTFM.

That button you keep pressing takes you to the main menu, that's why you keep getting the main menu. To activate the touch screen again, just touch the touch screen. Furthermore, you can adjust the time it takes for the screen to go dark. Your entire poor review is based on your own idiocy!

I think that between Nook, Kindle and PRS Sony e-readers, the one who had the smartest approach to simple and useful interface was Sony, not a whole lot of buttons, not a stupid lcd screen sucking the battery off unnecessary, but just implementing buttons for every line of options, i think that's the smartest approach, and the more functional.

I'd like to take Peter and force him to read a book on his 3.5" iPhone until his eyes cross. Then read the same book on *any* 6" e-reader. Then he'll see the merits of e-Ink.

As for the "Sluggishness" of the interface. Two words, "USER ERROR!" Come on now?!? Were you connected via WiFi or AT&T 3G. Looks like you're connected via the slower 3G.

Color screen on an e-reader? Why? The e-ink is supposed to mimic real printed pages. The color screens would have to be backlit, causing eye strain. I own both the Nook and the iPhone. It should not be advised to use the iPhone as a e-reader. Screen size, LCD, you name it. There's so much working against your eyes.
