Also insurance companies failed b cuz people didn't have homes to insure as well as cars as people sold off there assets in order to make any money they can. Also if people were unable to pay mortgages I'm sure they had to cut there insurance as well. This caused more job cuts and it's just a giant domino effect that has to be stopped by a stimulus fund that buys out bad mortgages from the banks and puts moeny into company giants that are failing as well because without them we're under water.
But after a year or to your supposed to come up with that money and if u don't u have to sell ur house or it gets foreclosed on u. Because the housing market fell due to the loss of jobs the value of ur house dropped. so a home u bought for 500k is worht 400k u lose out on 100k and have 2 pay it bak sumhow. This casued banks to fail when banks failed people lost jobs. when people lost jobs more homes foreclosed. Domino effect.

The two biggest Congressional recipients of bonuses from the A.I.G. are - Senators Chris Dodd and Senator Barack Obama. Dodd now wants to tax the controversial bonuses for executives at bailed-out insurance giant AIG. These numbers are misleading. In fact, they are a "total" from a period of 1989 through 2008, and during election cycles. Plus, their site lets you sort by Year the funds were received. For example, GWB received $200560 but he in fact rcvd around $40K in first Prez campaign and then $160K in 2004 around re-election time. However, Obama rcvd the full $107,332 in 2008. Also insurance companies failed b cuz people didn't have homes to insure as well as cars as people sold off there assets in order to make any money they can. Also if people were unable to pay mortgages I'm sure they had to cut there insurance as well. This caused more job cuts and it's just a giant domino effect that has to be stopped by a stimulus fund that buys out bad mortgages from the banks and puts moeny into company giants that are failing as well because without them we're under water.

Government interventionism, not government laxity created this mess. The federal govt. created Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in order to promote home ownership. Both those institutions failed. Liberals (including Obama's Acorn group) lobbied the govt. to change the rules for lending, thus making it more likely that unsuitable borrowers could get mortgages. Either through his actions, his cherished beliefs, or his party's actions, Obama is clearly at fault for what's going on right now.

These numbers are misleading. In fact, they are a "total" from a period of 1989 through 2008, and during election cycles. Plus, their site lets you sort by Year the funds were received. For example, GWB received $200560 but he in fact rcvd around $40K in first Prez campaign and then $160K in 2004 around re-election time. However, Obama rcvd the full $107,332 in 2008. Either way, this is BULLSHIT.

Why did Geithner and Paulson did not put a condition before giving the first bailout? They knew!!!
