Worf is my favorite character in the STAR TREK universe and this was absolutely one of his finest moments. I have to admit though Julian Bashir stole this scene at the end by being so zealous to beat the crap out of Worf. To this day whenever I see the look in his eyes as hes questioning Martok "now", I can't help but to crack up laughing. He couldn't wait to smack him.

You might recall from other episodes that women aren't allowed to be the heads of Houses unless there are special circumstances. Klingon society is patriarchal. It's just that their women are strong, and seemingly mostly equal.

Perhaps it's a subtle jab at klingon society for the reasons you mentioned? Saying that the rulers are jealous and foolish, because they are male?
