Good points. So many beginners just bounce from one fad to another, and never taking the time to understand what factors drive strength progression. My favorites are the "Dude, try my kickass workout. Tell me what you think," topics. All the numbers (load, % intensity, and volume) being completely arbitrary to one person's level. If that isn't sad enough, the people replying after one workout about how awesome and undeniably good it is (the burn is so sick, dude).
so glad to be a part of the olympic lifting culture here in northern california, its like a cult here in northern california from sonoma, central california, sf peninsula, east bay, and south bay, with all the crossfits, clubs and coaches, love it
I used to think that my max was the heavyest weight i did, but actually is not, my max is the heavyest weight i can do consistently. In my case yes it's %90 of my best 1RM.
