What history do you teach your children? Are they based on time periods? Is it based on our history? How did u format for the lesson guide for the children or did u find it? Is the lesson guide for the week or daily? What do u consider general academics? how do u organize your unit studies?
Currently I use Biblical History and a little American History. If you have a helpful history curriculum, please share. I do try to incorporate unit studies seasonally (we adjust our format every few months depending on the needs of our family.)
I developed the guide based on our family needs (semi-structured)--I do have a friend in TN who sells a detailed Homeschool Planner , however it was unrealistic for me to invest in one per child so I got a little creative :-)
(PART 2) The lesson guide is in Excel format and I actually wanted to make some FREE downloadable versions available if other homeschoolers are interested (Perhaps that can be my next project...lol)
I do update the guide weekly and I list the daily expectations for each student (they each have their own guides to maintain)
As far as General Academics, I would lean on the state's definition according to grade level (ex. Lang, Math, Sci, Hist)
