i remember this..my big sister loved them...the singers last name was jenner...i thought he was pretty cool cos he looked a lot like johnny rotten(had similar hair when the hat was off) also the bass player wore doc martens..back in 83 in christchurch n.z docs were real hard to get and you always ran the risk of being de-booted by the skins....the drummers stick toss is brilliant!!...remember "slutty mole"?? ha ha ha......
it took 3 takes to catch the drumstick just right. the lost sticks are still there somwhere behind the Avalon studio munted Tama drumkit. Sharon O'neill & Dave Dobbyn were doing a video down the hall. Richie Wastrel. By the way, my brothers are both homos.
I coudn't agree more. And such a travesty to see crap like the Narcs and Coconut Rough shooting up the charts while this languished at number 16. Wonder what the old lady is up to these days....
I agree. The Wastrels were one of the truly great bands of the 80's. I especially like the drummer's hair. And the way he does that thing where he throws his stick up in the air. I wonder how many takes that took?
