I <3 this song <3 <3 Im aboriginal... (native) :) and im proud to be :) <3 <3 SUUN DANCERS CARRIED AWAY ON YOUR SHOULDER! i i think thats the one lyric part
Invited by Native Lakota Elders...this white sister is honoured and proud to dance and pray as a Sundancer for over ten years! Healing and balance between our families...I am grateful!
I am a Sundancer who carries a lifetime committment to the tree and the people. This song touches my within and is so beautiful. The previous comment is written by a woman friend from England. I thank her for her words. Her heart is good and I am proud to call her "kola." She has the "ears to hear.the eyes to see but most of all the heart to feel." I honor her this day. She sent me this song to start my day and I am grateful.
My friend is a Sundancer,a Lakota sundancer.beautiful person inside and out.A beautiful and proud people, who have been treated so badly over the hundreds of years and even more today.Give them their full rights and their lands back!!!
I love this song so much. I know Eagle and Hawk and whenever I'm at any of their concerts I always request this song. I'm Riley Dutiaume the son of Clint Dutiaume the fiddle player.
I feel, SO proud to be native. When i hear this song, i realize who I truly am. I do not feel lost, from the world's harm, anymore. Because i realized, Dancing is what makes my heart escape. <3
I questioned my own belief when my brother was beat in his own yard, by some drug addicted cowards on Christmas Day in front of his family. Retaliation and revenge, is all i could think of. I wish i would've taken that beating instead of my brother. I wish i could of took his pain, I wish it was me who had to recover, physically and mentally and emotionally. It was a senceless act of cowardness. " It's hard but you said it and you meant it, but would you keep on going"
I wanna thank the boys from chippewa for the gifts today. I had a good visit . I was nervous, but today i'm focussed and i will see yous in Manitoba.
saw them play on saterday for aborginal day here in winnipeg they were amazing but i'm still trying to figure what the first song they played there if anybody was at the forks in winnipeg for aboriginal day can some one tell me the first song they played

Any old person who still follows the old time ways from the great plains. Unfortunately anthing goes nowadays so It's all up for grabs basically. Haven't you heard It's the great "New Age"?
not that i know of but in the ojibwe culture anyone is aloyd to sundance. women didnt have to pierce because they already go through enough pain from birth
Sorry to burst your bubble the "Sun Dance" was not historically or culturally part of Anishanabeg ceremonial ways. The Anishanabeg only arrived on the prairies in the 19th century and only received the "Sun Dance" from the Plains Cree in that time period. I agree women were not allowed to offer. But as in everything else 'women's lib'' took care of that. Anything goes now a days.
Thisz song makes me cry everytime i hear it..:(cuz its my Mommie and sisters song and it makes me cry so much and i keep thinkiing tu muh self why do i did i do that shiit anywaysz ..::(
but muh mommie commingt morrow cant wait tu cee her ..:)
Obviously they dont need all that autotune crap to make there voices better because they're good just the way they are, natural even, and I'd like to see you do better which I am pretty sure you can't. And one of them just happens to be my mother's cousins' husband and they are so good that they are nominated in 5 categories for Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards, so what do you have to say for that?!

Have u lied? Have u stolen? Jesus said if you look at a woman with lust you have committed adultery with her in your heart. have u done that?
If God judge’s u by the Ten Commandments will u be innocent or guilty? Heaven or Hell? Does this concern you?
Do u need a Savior from your sins?
Jesus (The Son of God)came, lived a sinless life, died on the cross (for our sins) and rose again on the third day.
