The one thing which impresses me when I see really good fighters, is that they are calm, have good techniques and a sound strategy. Having good techniques like the winner of this fight only comes from practicing the basics incessantly. Kids who come to the dojo and don't believe in drilling the basics but just sparring need to know this. You can't become a good fighter by just sparring alone.

However, I'm strictly against people saying that just because a fighter is in the ufc, he is automatically better than fighters in other promotions. I've heard people make claims that the worst fighter in the ufc is better than the best fighter in strikeforce, and that is sheer bullshit. And yes, fighting without glives does mean a shorter career, mainly because of wrist and arm injuries.

Wand is a brawler but he'd have a very hard time with the more technical guys. Anderson Silva is a perfect example. I've seen amateur fights that look worse, but this is definitely not a top tier organization either.

As mentioned, it's impossible to attend one of these competitions, I'm under 18, 17 to be exact. Wendy, little do you know that I too have been sparing almost all my life, have studied 4 types of martial arts including Chinese Kempo, Japanese Jundokan, Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, and wrestling. I might not be a tornado and wipe the floor with everyone in that league, but I'm sure I wont get a half bad score considering they're gods in your eyes.

However, I'm strictly against people saying that just because a fighter is in the ufc, he is automatically better than fighters in other promotions. I've heard people make claims that the worst fighter in the ufc is better than the best fighter in strikeforce, and that is sheer bullshit. And yes, fighting without glives does mean a shorter career, mainly because of wrist and arm injuries.

You can't judge talent by looking at videos like these and say "the guys in ufc would destroy these people!" considering most brazillians got their start in fights like these and they went on to be great.

Wand is a brawler but he'd have a very hard time with the more technical guys. Anderson Silva is a perfect example. Very technical, even to his early days of MMA that I've seen, he's been a highly technical fighter.

@gunslinger97658 hold on there cowboy, these guys are not on the same level as fighters in ufc or DREAM (PRIDE was sold a long time ago). as much as I love these fights, they simply do not have the same skill level as fighters on that level. There are other fights where the fighters don't even keep their hands up when striking and just throw wild haymakers. I've seen amateur fights that look worse, but this is definitely not a top tier organization either.

As mentioned, it's impossible to attend one of these competitions, I'm under 18, 17 to be exact. Wendy, little do you know that I too have been sparing almost all my life, have studied 4 types of martial arts including Chinese Kempo, Japanese Jundokan, Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, and wrestling. I might not be a tornado and wipe the floor with everyone in that league, but I'm sure I wont get a half bad score considering they're gods in your eyes.
