The fact that I collect CGC comics does not mean I am not a true comic fan - it just means I collect comics for a different reason than you do. There's nothing wrong with that, and you're being naive if you think there is. Respect what I collect, and I'll respect what you collect.

I am a fan and collector/investor in comics and have CGC books. All of the Silver Age CGC books I own also have duplicate "reader" copies I have had since the 1980's (including Fantastic Four #1), and yes there isn't any thing like opening the book to read and enjoy the story. On the flip side of the coin let's try and preserve these older high grade copies.
i get what you meant (when you were drunk), but, i suppose this comment will be aimed at your drunk self...CGC always recommends that collectors send in comics worth being graded to avoid people who yearn to read them again, and will just waste money by re-opening them. In other words, it'd be better to send in X-Men #10 than an X-men #370...
I thought that was an earthquake!lol I want to see Lobo and Wolverine versus Ambush Bug and Deadpool! Congrat's on acquiring those books, gotta collect what you love!
