I have a serious question. Jewish meat-eaters buy meat that has been slaughtered by shechita. If you explain that the process is painful because the animal stays alive, how do Jews feel? I do not eat meat anymore but if I did I would prefer a more humane method of slaughter, but also I am not Jewish so I do not have to obey the Torah. I know this is a strange question but I am curious if people would be willing to change religous law to allow humanity of animals.
