Its Ansel Collins, he was never given the proper credit for it. Lee Scratch Perry sold the tune to Coxsone Dodd who labeled Jackie Mittoo as the performer. Mr. Collins told me so himself after a Jimmy Cliff concert backstage in Ventura, CA during Cliff's tour for the album "Humanitarian".Great tune. Respect.

It says in the Lee Perry biog that this is Indeed Arnsel Collins on the keys. He wrote, arranged and produced it, then licensed it to Perry and was included on the Upsetter LP in 1969.

I have this on a Trojan release credited as The Upsetters. Actually it appears on their Return Of Django album...

it sure does sound a lot more like The Hippy Boys than Soul Syndicate...

That would likely make it Glen Adams on the organ but that could be all wrong then again...
