Hi there localdiskC, Just like to ask for help. I have a d3100 and Sony Vegas pro, but I'm having problems when editing the video from Nikon, it's .mov and it has issues on Sony vegas. I tried converting the video but the quality was affected, it pauses and delays.. would you have any suggestion that could help me? Thanks in advance.

Use Sony Vegas 10, or look for a good media converter. Sony vegas 10 was designed for better DSLR playback !
DSLR footage is well known to be hard to edit ! ( Due to its technical specs!)

I let it auto focus, then when we started shooting i turned it off.
We also just did it manually!
