I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL! KEEP DOING YOUR,THING! SCREW THE HATERS.WATCHING YOU ,MOTIVATES ME TO COOK MORE .I LOVE COOKING I JUST RUN OUT OF THINGS ,TO MAKE .:( TILL YOU CAME INTO MY LIFE !:) THANKS LOVE .
This looks good! I'm gonna make this tonight! I could imagine that I can make it ahead of time, fridge it then pop it in the oven? I've seen some tuna dishes where they add a small can of peas.Sound good? I've never put cheese in mine before & I seen this & it looks so good with cheese! Thanks for the dish =) Why would ppl comment on fat in the dish? If they don't like it they should go 2 another channel, but ther here for a reason b/c they really wanna try this hehe.No need 2 be mean folks hugs
I say who cares what other people think! Eat whatever you want run your life don't let the youtube haters get you down. Piss off youtube haters. Looks like something really good. By the way Happy Belated Birthday!!
Came across your channel today. loved watching this video. My mom makes tuna noodle too. Sometimes substituting chicken. Thanks for sharing and thanks for your honesty. Brought a smile to my face. Looks very yummy
YUM, love your recipe, I will have to try it. It looks alot more perkier than my family recipe. For tuna, I've been getting the packets of tuna at walmart, no stray bones or mush, and a bit more tuna than 2 of the old cans. he ast can I opened seems like half the amount of tuna and double water. I've noticed orange juice here is smaller now too. Happy Birthday to Micah!!
I dont think the tuna cans are smaller their just putting less tuna in them and the past few years its tuna sludge theirs no chunks in the tuna I'm talking starkist tuna, bumble bee, chicken of the sea name brands you know who has the best tuna is wal-mart there house brand...also you used to be able to get 3-4 sandwiches out of a can now your lucky to get 2 ...I love tuna casserole good comfort food
I think tuna casserole is a great thing to know how to make. Don't appologize to anyone. I substitute a can of cheddar chese soup for one of the cream soups and green beans for the olives. It is a tried and true oldie but goodie.
I am fat too so don't take offence. I use 2 cans tuna and make my own white sauce of butter and flour and chicken stock /milk and no cheese..........one of my kids doesn't like it. Serve with salad. Just healthier...........just sayin'.
@neefam1 Everyone has their own way of making certain things. I am sure you make yours the way your family enjoys it. I don't think this is unhealthy. It is a "sometimes" food/dish. I think you should make a video and show everyone how you do yours. I think it's fun to see what others are doing.
LOL your camera man kept sneaking bites. I will use Chicken like you suggested to CarmelButt. I like tuna but it has to be chilled and in a sandwich. You Noreen have awsome videos. .....Paula
Funny coincidence....I found cream of chicken and mushroom soup on sale for $0.60 a can this morning at walmart, so I bought a lot. On the way home, I decided to make tuna casserole for dinner tonight. Great minds think alike. I leave out the mushrooms and olives and add onion and frozen peas to mine. Yum!
Thought i would say great videos! the reason why tuna has gone up in price and the can size has went down is because yellow fin tuna is close to being a endangered animal. now yellow fin or ahi tuna? wait they are the same thing ahi is just a selling name. albacore tuna is more populated but still low on the fish count:(. just thought i would give alittle back ground on tuna:). keep up the great work!!!
1 can peas, (use the liquid in to soup can and put in casserole)
On top of stove, heat soup and liquid. If need be, add another can of soup (I do). Add salt and pepper. Add tuna and mix. Add noodles and mix. Adjust for thickness/thinness. Add peas. Put cover on and let get nice and warm
I love your videos and please, please stop making excuses to others for how you cook. I am a chef and still use canned stuff all the time as a single mom, the last thing I want is to come home and slave away all night to make dinner. I love your made from scratch and you quick and easy recipes. Now I have missed part of your video so now I will start it over.....LOL
"Bite me" . . . Oh Norreen, I do adore you and your sass. : ) I don't even like Tuna casserole, but I can't resist watching your vids. Hey, question for ya: Do you know where most of the canned tuna is caught? Is it close to Japan? For some reason, I associate canned tuna with Japan. I am quite concerned with how contaminated with radiation the Pacific has become with the Japan disaster.
Tried this and loved it! The only difference when I made it was, I replaced the black olives with onions since my fiance doesn't like black olives. Thanks for making videos for all of us Noreen! We appreciate all the work that goes into it!
I'm going to try this. I can't remember ever having tuna casserole growing up. Prob. because both of my parents are not big fish eaters. My husband had some of the albacore he caught (earlier this year) canned (we've been slowly working our way through it). In fact, he's flying out to Oregon this weekend to go fishing and crabbing (not sure if that's the proper term for it). Hope he catches some salmon.
I have never seen tuna noodle casserole like this before......not saying it's bad or anything! I just don't think it's called tuna noodle casserole without those crispies on the top :D Like Stouffer's tuna noodle casserole.
I have only ever tried the Tuna Helper before, and I really don't like that. I am going to fix this for my hubby this weekend. I also made your recipe for pineapple upside down cake, and it was wonderful! My family said it was the best they had ever had. Now that is a recipe for my family cook book.
@CarmelButt Thanks for the comment. yes, you can do this with canned chicken and sorry, but I'm not going to talk about my children's father in my weekly chat. I hope you understand. I have moved on from that a long time ago.
@atticus9799 this is good to hear i be feeling bad 4 rick hes standing there holding the cam and you bust out with a story about the exe like you did about how he had you taking the paper off the cans in a recent video seems to becoming a habit...just noticed ....
My "growing up as a kid" tuna casserole was a box of Mac N Chesse, a can of sweet peas and a can of tuna. I have to admit I still eat it today on nights when I just can't seem to get dinner on the table.
If people don't like how you look, or what you cook, then thats thier problem, they shouldn't watch. BITE ME... great response LOL BTW Happy B/Day to your daughter, and that looks really yummy.. Keep making the vid's, and I will keep taking notes. God Bless.
Happy Birthday Micah! (Your just two days after PrepperA.) Man! That's 'uptown' tuna casserole. I'm use to 'ghetto' casserole. My mom would NEVER have use more than one can of tuna...I don't care how many she was feeding! If you buy that cheap tuna, the flavor is strong enough to flavor a BIG pot of noodles. LOL That looked really good Noreen. Don't think I've made tuna casserole in 20 years. I think I'd like this with steamed broccoli and home canned chicken. Yum. Thanks for sharing.
On the size thing---i was amazed the other day as i ate a reeze's pb cup---my goodness they are half the size they used to be. I know it has been a long time since i ate one, but my word!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!My fear is, and is coming true, that they will start doing this a little at a time to all products, until we pay monsterous amounts for practically nothing. It is only going to get worse. I am putting a BIG garden in next year.Anywho, happy bday Micah, & thanks rick and noreen for the makeover!
This was my moms go to meal when her and my dad went on a date. If you could smell the tuna noodle cooking when you came home, mom and dad where going out! I love making it when I need to make something fast. Thanks Noreen! I really enjoy your shows, they are fun to watch! Keep them coming!
Regarding the sizes of food packaging getting smaller... that really irks me. I understand that prices have to go up, so raise them already but for heaven's sake leave the sizes alone. All that extra packaging is such a waste and do they really think we don't notice things like the tuna only being 4 ounces instead of 4 and a "quart" of mayonnaise is no longer a quart.
RE: expensive tuna. I buy large cans of salmon and mackerel at a budget store here in Nebraska called ALDI. Cheaper than tuna and delish! I love your humor, keep the videos coming!
...you made me laugh Rick while Noreen was opening the 4th can of tuna I thought you were munching on the cheese....lol....thought it sounded like you were eating celery...too funny. NOREEN! you are awesome...love your channel and ALL your recipes. Your recipes (and two other gals) are the ones that I've made the most from. You are a natural in front of the camera and a SUPER GOOD cook, and looks like a great mom/wife too. Keep up the great work...love ya!
looks yummy!!! if folks are worried about salt, look for low sodium cream of mushroom soup, they make it. that will help with the amount of salt. I used to make tuna casserole on the stove using the boxed mac and cheese and add peas to it. it was ok. This one looks way better!!!
Ok I laughed out loud at this one. You are so funny. To all the people that complain about sodium and fat and about how fat you are they can bite me too.Loved the recipe looks delish!
A great food storage meal too. I will be making this tonight for dinner. Whenever i am at a loss as of what to make, i check out your channel (my favorite) and always come up with something delicious. Love ya!
Belated "Happy Birthday" to lovely Micah! Noreen that is the best looking Tuna Noodle Casserole I have ever seen. Can't wait to make a double one to share with my daughter's gang. Thank you!
i think your videos are great, and who doesnt eat tuna casserole??? whoever made comments needs to get over themselves, there living under a rock whoever doesnt or measures what fat is in it. your great and very knowledgable love learning stuff by watching you. keep it up! :)
Mmmm, I love tuna casserole but I'm like you and for some reason I don't make it very often. Happy Birthday, Micah! Do you ever cook or bake with your mom? I'd love to see a video with the two of you cooking together. That would be fun! :) Hope your Birthday was a great one! Noreen, I agree... tell 'em bite me! If they are complaining or cutting you down it's only because they are miserable about themselves. Your recipe is exactly how I make my tuna casserole, except for the olives.
Nice one! I have a bunch of canned cheese so this could be a preppers pantry meal for me.
Love the way your husband sneaks a bit of something when you're doing something else. Nice of you to let him think he got away with it. I KNOW your radar picked it up even though your back was turned. ROFLOL!
my hubby always asks for tuna casserole, but I never made it because i just havent seen any recipes that looked good, until I saw yours!! that looks delicious! im gonna make it for him this weekend! thanks!
"Bite Me", I love it. That is one of my favorite expressions. I think Rick is a hoot, always sneaking a bit while your back is turned. You have a wonderful family. I wish people would live by the old adage that if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all. It would make the world a whole lot easier to live in.
Thanks for the video. It is interesting that you used black olives. It is not something I have tried but we like olives and I bet it would be good and we will have to try it. For those who want it bit less fat its not as good or cheap but still yummy try leaving out the cheese and using campbells fat free mushroom soup, it has to be this brand to be decent with fat free soup. Add some caramelized onions and peas and that will help bump up the flavor from the missing cheese.
Down with haters/trolls. Don't they have a bridge to sit under and protect. I love tuna casserole, but hubby doesn't. I think I'll use chicken. Thank you for the great video. God Bless and Happy Birthday Micah
Noreen i always watch your videos even when i dont like something that your cooking, e.g i hate tuna, but if i was to make it iid just sub something else in, but anyway as i was watching this my sister strolled on in and saw tuna, olives, mushrooms, pasta and CHEESE, she now wants to live with you :P
Noreen, I am sorry people have to say MEAN things like that to you. You are a special person and if that is all they can talk about then you must be doing something right. LOLOL I think these people have MAJOR problems and don't really want to look at themselves, to make themselves feel better they tear down others, SAD!!! ANyway, have a great day!!! Don't like tuna but love to watch your videos. ;)
this actually looks like another medium for my canned chicken breast to go in...has anyone tried it that way? im always looking for ways to use my home canned chicken. and btw...LUV'D the Bite Me comment! thanks again for another great video!!
@igeekling The y don't dye the cheese, they add in a natural spice called Annato that is what makes it orange. They also do this to differentiate between a domestic and imported cheddar as the European Irish and English cheddar cheeses tend to be white. Thanks for watching and commenting. Noreen
Awww! Thanks Noreen. That looks yummy. I haven't made tuna casserole in years. It makes me want to make it. Happy belated birthday to your Halloween Baby.
@uneeddiscushion You should give this a try using the Solid White Albacore Tuna. The chunk light is nasty and very dark and fishy tasting. When I use tuna I always use either the Solid White Albacore or the Chunk White. I also only use either Bumble Bee or Star Kist, never any other brand. I am very picky when it comes to certain things Tuna is one of them. I also hate the fishyness of the cheap stuff. Thanks for watching and commenting. Noreen : )
@cindyluwho58 Nope. This is one of those times when I opened up 2 cans of stewed tomatoes and 2 cans of Del Monte green beans(drained) dumped them into a pot and heated them up. I like to simmer these for a bit because the stewed tomato flavor really cooks into the beans. I am also trying to not use the microwave as much. I like the way things taste when I actually "cook" them. Heating in the microwave does nothing for food really except make it hot. Thanks! Noreen : )
Love Your Channel!!!! i look forward to watching a video everyday..i hope you continue to make lots more!

Our cheapie Tuna Casserole was really cheap
1 can tuna, with water, flaked
1/2 bag noodles, cooked
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can peas, (use the liquid in to soup can and put in casserole)
On top of stove, heat soup and liquid. If need be, add another can of soup (I do). Add salt and pepper. Add tuna and mix. Add noodles and mix. Adjust for thickness/thinness. Add peas. Put cover on and let get nice and warm

Don't like tuna but love to watch your videos. ;)

Thanks so much for sharing. I hadn't had tuna casserole since I was a kid, (won't say how long ago that was..lol)
My hubby works for Bluebell ice cream and he says that is a true half gallon LOL

Had to laugh over the double take when you called the grated carrots cheese.
Never will understand why they dye cheese orange in some parts. Although I guess it fits with the halloween theme.
igeekling 4 months ago
@igeekling The y don't dye the cheese, they add in a natural spice called Annato that is what makes it orange. They also do this to differentiate between a domestic and imported cheddar as the European Irish and English cheddar cheeses tend to be white. Thanks for watching and commenting. Noreen

screw the nasty hater folk lol. my only comment is i have never been able to eat this, i fin dthe tuna way too fishy if it is heated. :(
uneeddiscushion 4 months ago
@uneeddiscushion You should give this a try using the Solid White Albacore Tuna. The chunk light is nasty and very dark and fishy tasting. When I use tuna I always use either the Solid White Albacore or the Chunk White. I also only use either Bumble Bee or Star Kist, never any other brand. I am very picky when it comes to certain things Tuna is one of them. I also hate the fishyness of the cheap stuff. Thanks for watching and commenting. Noreen : )

Happy, Happy Birthday Micah!!!!!! Nice meal. I will be making this one soon :)
Did you put any extra seasoning in the tom. and beans?
Thank You Noreen....really nice.
cindyluwho58 4 months ago
@cindyluwho58 Nope. This is one of those times when I opened up 2 cans of stewed tomatoes and 2 cans of Del Monte green beans(drained) dumped them into a pot and heated them up. I like to simmer these for a bit because the stewed tomato flavor really cooks into the beans. I am also trying to not use the microwave as much. I like the way things taste when I actually "cook" them. Heating in the microwave does nothing for food really except make it hot. Thanks! Noreen : )
