Its funny how your video is looking at what the Yankees fans would do even though its your team that was losing at the time. You are right though it is the Yanks birthright to be in the World Series. By the way who one the last world series? Choke on it.
I don't think fans are OK with this collapse. I'm saying that the hatred is not what it would have been pre-2004. This is indeed a disgrace and I think its over. The Rays want it more.
So basically, mediocrity is the new height to aspire to? Makes sense. I mean look at how well it's been working for the Sox so far. When fans become complacent and "ok" with the fact that their team is playing atrociously, guess what? They're not real fans.
(cont) old sox. But with 2 World Series rings and the curse of the bambino behind you it's a completely different rivalry. I think a lot of the fustration comes from the fact that expectations were high, and now even if you make it, your sneaking in. Everyone, and I mean everyone, had the Sox pegging to win the division. Even a diehard Yankee fan like myself said to a lot of my friends "were in trouble this year." At the end of the day it's a love hate relationship and will still go crawling ba
Trust me I know it's not acceptable, if this was the Yankees I'd be furious right now. No matter what Yankee fans say, they been angry with the team too. I'm just as guilty, I can't tell you how many people called for Girardi's head in 2008 when they didn't make the playoffs for the 1st in 13 years (after a only a year of managing). I think that red sox fans are different now because you guys had a taste of winning and you liked it. If this was pre-04 I could go along with the argument of same
Red Sox fans and media declared at the beginning of the season that a 2011 WS was a birthright. The team's attitude reflected it. This "greatest team assembled" myth was based on an unrealistic assessment of the team, AND the fact that they notched a couple WS. Read any Sox discussion forum and 90% of the posts care calling for Theo, Terry, or any players head on a platter.
Yankee fans' are arrogant based on a century of excellence. Sox fans' arrogance is based 8 years of success.
See that's the def thing between the Yankees & Boston The Yanks are a better team they take there games seriously we made so much WS and Division titles.Yankees have pride something that Boston don't got.If Boston had pride and took more seriously they would make playoffs.Yankees aren't the ones that like to lose. Why play baseball if you don't Win a championship it's sad,Baseball is about championships as well you cant deny losing every yr is such embarrassment
(cont) The Sox aren't the Kansas City Royals who haven't been a contender in years, so dont feed me its ok if they dont win line. They have won 2 World Series and have been at the fore front of every penant race in the past decade. I guarantee if they make it in and beat the Yankees in the ALCS you'll sing a whole different tune.
I'm sorry I refuse to believe this post that you have. A couple of months ago, when the sox were in 1st and up 8-1 on the yanks, you were all over the internet writing "I have the broom in my car for the sweep." Now when there on the verge of collapse your taking a ho hum approach. I'm a very big fan of your videos and think you do a fantastic job, but I think your taking a cop out approach encase the sox don't make it. Your suppose to be mad if your team doesn't make it; that's what a fan does
@JoeJ4684 I think you will see a much different tone from me in the next clip I am planning. I've been calm about this up until now but now this looks like a team that has quit. That is not acceptable to any fan of any team.
Yes you are right the Yankees are entiteld to win the World series because thats what they do!! its easy to say your satisfied if the sox dont win it since their about 20 series short of beeing as awsome as the Yankees!! Its always easy to talk crap about a team that has been so successful but hey whatever floats your boat
This is complete and utter bullshit. Even your DH said there's panic and he said that a week or so ago. The Yankees have gone through situations like this before and were just fine. Your fans booed your team off the field of their final home game of the season, that says it all. Also, you're comparing this years red sox to the early 1990's Yankees. Last I checked, George is dead so it's irrelevant. The Yankees failed to sign Cliff Lee this offseason, did they panic? I don't think so....
I agree with this, make sense- but I just don't get why were always fading out after winning. It always seems like the drive, that got them those two championships, is not there at all for the following season.
When a team is used to success it becomes a bitter pill to swallow when that success isn't forthcoming. Fans take it for granted that their team will be on top, that's where entitlement & complacency starts.
The Yankees are a sports powerhouse in the league of the NZ All Blacks (Rugby), Man Utd (Soccer), India (Cricket) & other champion teams.
The Sox haven't the same burden, so win or lose we've got nothing to live up to. We're either great pretenders or real contenders & I'm cool with that.
@theivd I do agree but some would argue the Sox are Yankees lite in terms of fan entitlement. I'm not one of those people. I think when you don't win for 86 years your perspective has to be different. You can never take things for granted. Look at this Sox slide. It's a perfect example. It's OK to be angry at your team but not OK to feel entitled about always winning.

@JoeJ4684 Thanks for the honesty. It is refreshing to find a level headed Yankee fan. Good thoughts. We'll see what happens the next 3 days.

@Yankees6103 I'm quite sure the Red Sox are taking things seriously. They just can't get it done right now. I have no answer as to why.
