  • awesome

  • wow - they're amazing.............

  • Daryl reminds me of Stevie Ray Vaughn, he gets carried away with his singing the way Stevie was with his guitar; when they're playing/singing they have no idea fantastic they are.

  • Definitive version, straight from the heart - without the stage histrionics...

  • Halls voice was at its peak during the early 90's IMO.

  • my uncle, bob mayo is on the far right

  • We saw them in St. Louis a few years ago...I had NO idea how talented they were until seeing them perform live!

  • I wasn't really that much of a fan until I saw them live. I was absolutely blown away!!!

    RIP T-Bone.

  • the guy with black hair actually speaks?!!!!?

    wow?!!!

  • @maycauseburns LOL!!!

  • They also wear shades because wheather being on stage, or interviewed before the camera, they have lights glaring at them.

  • LOVE THIS ACOUSTIC VERSION

  • True enough. No matter though. He's performing not you.

  • lol When did you see him?

  • No offense, can Oates sing? I never heard his voice solo.

  • there is a video of him singing the Star spangled banner n Hall's place...he was pretty good...he has a VEEERRRYYYY heavy vibrato...

  • Thanks! Friend of mine said u can hear him on some of their songs. So I am listening closely now!

  • Possession Obsession, one of my fav.

  • THANKS! OMG I remember that one. I so liked that song. My memory has failed me once again! Love those guys!

  • You never heard She's gone?

  • Yes of course! LOL

  • well oates sings half the song solo

  • Inspector711, thanks pal. I listened to the songs blindly as a kid, you know. I rarely saw their videos, thanks to people like you, I will keep my ears more alert! : )

  • Hall sings most of the lead in their songs, but, in my opinion, John Oates carries a much better melody and has a much smoother voice. Listen to "She's Gone" and you'll see what I mean.

  • Also, I lose any interest in artsts that wear shades just to be cool...Hall wears them in this video....just knocked him down a notch or 2 on my list....

  • I guess he is hiding some signs of age, or blood shot eyes! Thanks I will be listening and still enjoying. I love them both! I so want to see them live.

  • I saw them live at the Omni in Atlanta in 1983....OMG they were incredible! I hope you get the chance to see them in concert!!!! The only concert I can think of that tops Hall & Oates is Billy Joel...

  • I saw Billy Joel in the 80's lol. Loved it!!!! He was one crazy piano player!

  • Billy Joel's concert was awesome...the funny part was he made fun of all of us in the upper seats, as the "fools" who got lower/back stage seats had a better view....stage rotated!

  • I agree, John makes She's Gone.

  • Wow. These guys need to do an "unplugged." Or have they?

  • Sara Smile (released 1976) was written by Daryl for Sara Allen, his girlfriend. Janna Allen, her sister did collaborate on numerous songs but died in '93 of Leukemia long after this was released.

  • We love you guys, keep it up, please, forever.

  • GREAT!!!!

  • bravo.

  • wow, thats a wonderful version, a wonderful footage.. THANKS!

  • ditto! thanks so much for sharing this!!! :-)

  • Thanks so much for posting this great clip i love it
