I don't understand how republicans can defend/justify Gerry Adam's blatant involvement in the IRA and political violence in Northern Ireland.
I am strongly opposed to any discrimination against republicans living in Northern Ireland, however, violence namely ambushes against police forces, civilian bombings and punishment beatings are inexcusable.

@ChrisMcHugh .....Yes an awful lot of Bloodshed happened to get the Free-State as it was back in 1922, but that was very early. It became a Republic officially in the 40s, there was no bloodshed then. And they're condemning Adams and the PIRA because of the Bloodsed that happened more recently. I don't believe that cannot be compared to what happened in the first part of the 20th Century.

Basically the politicians that are attacking Gerry Adams and SF, represent a state, that since well before 1916, used tactics of violence and war to obtain freedom. The people then used the tactics on eachother.
