For the two down votes, you will understand in a long time or even shorter, that you where wrong. Howerver, no hard feelings. Greetings from Flanders, Harry.
Most of the bands you here after many years are a little bit disappointing when they sing live. This performance is the opposite, great, just great. My respect for them.......
Judith still packs some powerful singing into this performance, even after all these years..a unique voice from OZ!!!..Thanks for posting this wonderful video.
I think I probably heard Carnival for the first time (can't remember) when it was sung at the Olympics/Paralympics - I remember thinking even then the use of this sad, sad ballad was quite clever - the Games were their own Carnival that were over :-(
I didnt know The Seekers used to close concerts with it back then.
Thanks alot, have been waiting for å good version of this to show up.Their last tv performance of The Carnival? It was this song that made me fall in love with Judith and the boys songs all those years ago.
@Proculled: As far as I knoow, The group performed this song just one more time on TV, for the closing ceremony of the Paralympics in Sydney later in 2000. This was the best version though, IMHO.
