  • I didn't understand this video, was it an intro to Sound Booth or a Tutorial? I didn't feel it was either. Some Feed back, nothing personal. Get to the point and capture your audience's attention.

  • HAHAHAHAHA! Audio Editing? They mixed the surround oppositely XD :D XD :D

  • Have a look at my remix please - /watch?v=sybTu9n6_JA

  • i want to learn this even i am only ten yrs old

  • great

  • Can I make the sounds of instruments without owning that instrument in Soundbooth? Otherwise I wasted so much getting it :/

    What about Audition?

  • @Miny000000 No. It's a multitrack sound editing system. It does not sythesize sounds.

  • @PalmBreezeCAFE

What about Audition? Can you recommend any software that can create sounds from scratch? Like anything from Sony or other companies?

    Thanks!

  • @PalmBreezeCAFE where it is multitrack sound editing in soundbothcs3

  • @PalmBreezeCAFE where it is multitrack sound editing in soundbooth cs3

  • @Miny000000 You paid for soundbooth?

  • lol is his name really kim

  • You guys are doing a visually strong production here, monitor in the back, mics, looks like you're switching and dropping in fonts.

Constructive Comment: Clean The Cords up at the back of the computer!!! You're taking full shots, OTS's etc, but you have those NASTY cords right there in your two shot.

If you can put a mantle over the top of those, or run them under the table, your production value will increase.

    Great show!

  • Thanks for the comments. Actually, that's last year's set. It was virtual. Now we have a permanent set with four computers and 6 primary hosts.

  • Are there any Adobe programs that allow you to create music?

  • FL is a good program

  • having a hard time trying to mix songs, so I can create one mix CD...

Do you have a tutorial to do that?

  • Does anyone know why soundbooth doesent recoginize my sound card? I mean, the card works fine with everything else. I think its a prettygood one to. Any suggestions?

  • Check your other sound programs. Can you record and playback from them? You may have to reseat the card. I've never found one that wouldn't work with Soundbooth.

  • the other programs work, I have a dell dimention thats like 2 years old. When I got it I chose to get the best sound card option avalible, so im guessing it shouldent be a problem.

  • is great xD

  • hay q verlo bn hee

  • How do i record over an instrumental?

So they can be in the same mixdown

    Like Cool Edit or Cubase?

    Please Reply A.s.a.p

  • Just create another track and record it while playing back the instrumental track. This video is for an older version. The new version does much more.

  • ohhhh how do u do the helium leak!?!?

  • Is it possible to duplicate channels?

Such as duplicating the right channel to the left channel?

  • Yes, in several ways. You could just switch it to mono.

  • i can't get my computer to recognize the instrument through my MIDI device. Every time it's like there's no sound at all.

  • Soundbooth works best with your standard audio input and output jacks. I haven't played with it using midi inputs/outputs.

  • Can arrange a song with this software?

  • You can lay tracks and record during playback, but you cannot do notation. That would be a midi or notation system.

  • Not with synthesizers or sequencers, youll need to record real time instruments (guitars vocals etc) to make songs in soundbooth. You can cut out loops and re-arrange them, but to really arrange a brand new song out of nothing consider Fruity Loops or Cuebase. Hope that helps! cheers,

  • Hey. how can I combine my recorded voice with my recorded instrument music? Pls. i really don't know how to do it. help. thankyou and Godbless!

  • Soundbooth maybe overpriced but its a profession application its for B to even A movie designers and most people making movies want them to be perfect so they end up spending lots of money on stuff like soundbooth and after effects just saying

  • this is better that audacity but... audacity is free and it is easer to work with AND can have some plugins or some stuff like that i dont want to spend money on this stuff... soundbooth is good just wayyyy overpriced...

  • Soundbooth is not expensive under educational licensing. In fact, packaged in the Adobe Digital Classroom set it's a great value.

  • how do i keep vocals and remove instrumentals?

  • Well, effectively you can't do that if the background has extensive complexity. You need a copy that has tracks so you can turn them off. If you have a lot of time, Soundbooth CS4 has the spectral view through which you could try to filter some sounds, but with instrumental ranges it would be time consuming and far less than a100% effective.

  • Lee, great job!

    Kim, not your best

  • Wait till you see the great job Kim did on Soundbooth CS4. It'll be online later this week.

  • soundgreat!!

but..can anyone tell me whats actually the differences of Adobe Soundbooth CS4 and Adobe Audition 3??

  • Funny you should ask. I just got both in an hour ago to start learning the new features and to make a comparison. I'll keep you informed.

  • so what's the basic difference?

  • wow goldwave sucks compared to this one

  • I have tried Sound Forge also and it is really boring and complicated compared to adobe soundbooth, it is AWESOME!!!

  • Let me tell you: I just came from SoundForge 9 to Soundbooth CS4... and man... I FREAKIN LOVE Soundbooth. Would never return to SF. Why? Because SoundBooth has AWESOME noise reduction capability and it gets the job done QUICK. SoundForge is more for those ultra-professional dudes. I'm a simple guy like most. 10/10 for Soundbooth!!!! Just wanted to give it endorsement so others can read.

  • i sometimes wish that they made final cut for windows'too

  • Audacity could be enough for these two guys...

  • look at all those leads, it's like my house

  • Its looks to be a cool program. I mean AudaCity is similar and thats OpenSource (Free), but im gonna give this a go. One problem...these guys talk like how my grandad and his friends would talk when trying to work a file. "Is that the rite recording device"...Well if you are recieveing sound (DB Meter) then of course it is u dumb ass fuck!

  • aaah...i love adobe products..right now i have Flash CS4, Photoshop CS4 Extended, Soundbooth CS4 and Premiere Pro CS4...they're awesome!

  • i was replyin to sumbody

  • oh...ok sorry, the comment system has been really retarded lately, the replies always just show up at the top

  • Six minutes in and these gentlemen are doing no justice to this soft ware, you can record and do multi tracks and much more like protools, you can mix an entire move and store it, you can also do surround...come on, you can remove vocals...there is no end to what you can do with this software....I Just made an awesome score for a TV commercial with this software....however, thanks for the video...not sure how I got this page...Huh

  • helium leak? lmao

  • all these are great softwares but they take a long time to learn fully

  • differentiation..lol

  • u dont have to use adobe...other audio editing programs like Audacity work just fine AND they have undo and most of the functions soundbooth has

  • I totally agree,souma331.

  • im a recording artist.and i have used audacity.its an ok audio software since its free.the only problem is when your done with your project, your quality is terrible.

  • ok...then get Soundbooth - you didn't need to tell us that.

  • They are reviewin a sound editing software and i can barely hear them the audio is so low.Kinda ironic eh!

  • thats why you raise you volume up....

  • movie maker isnt even an audio editing application

  • no shit. but you can still export as audio and cut and speed up and slow down music

  • lol... so can I but, so many people can't use movie maker the way we can. lol. THE WORLD UNDERRATES WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER... ALL MY VIDEOS ARE MADE WITH MOVIE MAKER IF THEY DON'T BELIEVE ME!!!! but i'd still like soundbooth. ^_^

  • ROFL, helium leak...legal disclamers, lol!

    Great show...

  • I'm new to Adobe Soundbooth, and I think it's really amazing. But I can't seem to figure out how to import a sound file on an open project. When I go to import, the only option to choose is "Markers". When I go to "Open", I can only start editing a new song. How do I combine two seperate sound files on the same project? Thank you

  • yep, funny =D but every program has not undo and that's shit..

  • 6:41 "aaaa....you can undo?!?" LoL:)) Any software has an Undo button.... why is he so surprised?

  • sixth :)) lol

  • 91st... Good vid!
