  • If you look closely at this footage, it has the little speckles and hairs like from the older movies....its just a clip from an older pirate movie guys.

  • OOOOOOOO so weired !!! That 28 second has capsized the ship into water !!! Only 28 seconds !!!!! Its heartrending.

  • Wow whats that in 0:28?! Black Pearl or an other ghost ship i think xD

  • LOL that is so obviously a model.

  • down is up lol

  • Clip 355-91 from gettyimages

  • Rear view of clipper ship capsizing during storm / Plymouth Adventure (1952)

  • YOU ARE A SIDEWAYS PIRATE!

  • men I was looking it....I was distracted by a moment and when I looked back I was like... ohh shit, oh shitt... lol

  • Hello, it's amazing.

Can I use this for my school project?

Can I have a high quality version?

    Thank you

  • good job

  • how did you make this animation~ which software you were use?

  • Ships lean away from a high wind. not towards it !!!

  • the flying dutchman

  • How is the ship tipping to the left when the wind is blowing twards the right

  • @superdude5656 becouse the water is smashing in the left side and fills it with water wich makes to ship lean to the left

  • the water like hand

see the hand like hold the ship and take into under water

  • Wooden ship. Big storm. Not a good mix.

  • OMG WTF

  • At last, the Glitter Freeze......... this is the perfect definition of that song

  • read the description people its not animation,it's a rented replica for a film that sank

  • what this game ?

  • Bom trabalho .

  • great work:)

  • This galleon has all anchors on the ground. Otherwise it would be drifted away by the wind.

  • I would be surprised of the masts and all that rigging remained intact throughout all that stress. nice job with the water though!

  • Actually it's a realistic tsunami

  • Cool animation, looks realistic except for the swell... Should be at least 6-7 meters (20-25 feet) with such wind... But i see no problem to a ship sinking face to the wind : a wave breaks it on the wind side, water gets in, the ship tilts facing the wind...

  • it defies physics but its better than i am equipped to do

  • that aint a real full-sized ship....it's a fuckin toy you stupid gullible tool-wipes

  • The swells should be bigger with that kind of wind, cool video though..

  • Why does the ship lean to the left? Wind is blowing from the left side.

Besides that - a great animation!

  • i'm guessing there's an anchor holding it. while the wind is pushing the rear of the ship away, the front gets pushed down as the anchor chain gets tighter.

  • If there was an anchor, the bow would point in the wind direction, the wind would simply turn the ship that way.

  • because there are no sails up to use the wind to keep the boat upright but the waves crash onto the bottom of the ship and because of its design it falls into the wind

    foo

  • very realistic !excelent!

  • Woah... This is good! xD

  • what is that giant fish-tail on the deck?

    giant trout?

  • how come its capsizing against the wind? looks weird.

  • @ViewerSonic because the majority of the water is from that side

  • @ViewerSonic cause the water starts to full fill the side with is opposite of wind first which cause it loose stability from this side.Actually i think the wood cannot stand against these waves and broke out.

  • @daneshjooyebadbakht A possibility but it would seem more logical for the water to slush over and fill the other side since the ship should have a slight list from the seemingly high winds to start with. Another possibility is that the cargo and equipment it might be carrying has shifted in the storm and cause it to capsize in the "wrong" direction. But since this seems to be a computer animated scene I would understand if its not 100% true to nature...

  • Great!!

  • "The movements it makes are completely consistant with what it would do if it were really capsizing."

lol? never saw a ship sailing? Oo

  • looks great good job!

  • lets see, wind from the port bow, and she sinks leaning into the wind? Before you make a stupid clip, at least allow the thing to at least list to starboard as it should have! Dumb ass!

  • perhaps the creators point in this clip wasn't to be convincingly realistic, but to simply portray a vessel lost in a stormy sea. Well done!

  • actually pirates do exist. watch the news

  • one of the stupider things ive read in a while

  • I could make a more realistic scene in my bath tub.

The poster of the video said they "rented" a ship; I guess he didn't lie- looks like they rented a hotwheels-sized model of a ship. That must be one cheap ass independent film.

  • Fuckin good! lets see you do a better one then.

  • was that suposed to be the warship vasa recreation?

  • Vasa capsized in perfect weather

  • shiver me timbers !

  • spooky

  • haha how can a ship...i mean a real ship sink in wind cus there was no swell running as there should have been...THUNDER BIRDS ARE GO!!!

  • haha

  • This is not computerized, nor is it an actual ship. It is a miniature model of a ship being filmed in a wave tank. They filmed Star Wars like this, but with space ships. Trust me, I know.

  • Computerized....

  • OMG! DID SOMEBODY DIED..??

  • ahahahahahahahhaaaaaaaaaaa

  • Why did the ship capsize upwind?...Sorry for nit picking, but other than that it looked great.

  • Looks like you got some negative comments on this one. Thats because everyone thinks youre a total idiot and you think like a caveman.

  • Now how the hell do you know that, where you there with Peter?

You must be wery old, and I take it that you actually met the apostle Paul, and Jesus himself...

  • owned!

  • sembra vero ,ma per fortuna non l'ho è

  • no ship

  • It's only a model.

  • capn sparrow and his crew has opted for ablivion

  • I have a videotaped stanza of a poetry recital that I would like to use 20 seconds of this video for. Please let me know how to receive your permission to use this clip. In exchange, I will be happy to give you a film credit. Thank you. Sam

  • i know this takes a lot of work but water does not move that fast on the surface!!

  • at those kind of wind speeds, yes, the water does move that fast on the surface, trust me..

  • Very nice indeed... Is it a movie, intro to a game or just a genius at a computor?

    Marvelous...

  • at first i didnt see it was animated but then i reilized it was fake. great gob though! 5 stars!

  • Нормально!

  • I can see a ship possibly sinking like that. To me it looks like it's taking on a lot of water over the port side, which would cause it to list to that side. The wind looks like it's effecting it enough. I'm especially impressed with the level of detail in the water waves and the amount of spray they were able to get.

This clip will help me, as I'm planning to animate a similar scenario.

  • WTF, that is AWESOME, i didnt even saw that it was animated:P 5 stars . cheers!

  • I give you props for this one man, nice job. Fuck all the people saying shit about it. They dont know how difficult CGI is. But I just started not to long ago and I know its a nutbuster. so Kudos on your project.

  • so cool but its scary sometimes in that storm

  • what movie was this?

  • Robinson crusoe.

  • y wassnt the ship moving when the water was speeding past it.. it woulda been taken straight over.. stupid poofta

  • Just a small scale model...

  • XD

I think that was just a little modell... This ship's movement is too bizarre...

  • no its a pirate ship, its light. We have one up here in Canada and it's the same.

  • omg !!!!!!!! that is so sos os sos sosnaskfnakd dhks askh sk fake adas

  • looks like a scene from the movie white squall

  • Nice impression. How did they fix???

  • I've never seen a boat with so much rigging lean into the wind...?

    It's a miracle !

  • HAHAHAHAHA! Very clever. My impression from the artist is that the waves are waterlogging the boat and unbalancing it on the side it is taking on water, hence it rolled into the waves and wind.

I would imagine that the rigging in the wind would EASILY counterbalance that tho'

  • Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Why would a ship that is obviously SO light, heel into the wind and waves? It should roll in the other direction, and it should be being set by the weather.

  • barco y la ctm pa fome .. nicagando me subo en unoo IOI

  • uuuuu barco culiao se fue a la mierda

  • Good work

  • Well done!!! Even better than ILM!!! Keep up the good work

  • lol i agree

  • nice animation indeed, but wouldnt the ship be more likely to capsize in the direction the wind is blowing?

  • the boat is being filled with water on that side, which is why it is leaning that way.

  • true that is possible.

    I am impressed with this.

    well made.

does anyone know the story behind this clip?

    Is it from a film?

  • jesus cmon ffs its crap and thats that!!!

  • Well, the water's moving real fast,. Mabe it's pushing the keel and making the boat tip the opposite way.

  • Water aint moving as fast as the wind, so thats not possible.

  • nice 3D animation! But I think the ship would heel over to the other side in such conditions.
