As a physician I can tell you any woman "having broke her water a month early" needs immediate medical attention for the baby. The baby is premature and needs medical attention. The water breaking then places the baby at risk for infection as the baby is now no longer in a protected environment.
The baby is also stressed by the water breaking and being premature which has a whole set of responses, one of them being pooping and then aspirating the poop called muconium. This is an emergency. They have to be suctioned. More follows.
They are at high risk. If doctors think the lungs have not fully developed, they can give an injection and accelerate the development. The baby may be in distress and need to be delivered immediately, or most likely a fifth baby a month early, would just slide out in hours or less of the water breaking.
Once the baby is delivered it may need immediate resuscitation to survive, plus suctioning, and oxygen. It may have a fever and need immediate antibiotics. It may need any thing and everything to live.

As a physician I can tell you any woman "having broke her water a month early" needs immediate medical attention for the baby. The baby is premature and needs medical attention. The water breaking then places the baby at risk for infection as the baby is now no longer in a protected environment.

Actually my baby's mother didn't really show until about 6 1/2 or 7 months. When we were concerned the doctor told us some woman do not show until the last few weeks of their pregnancy...Some woman show in as little of the first two months....So it's hard to say.
