The point of the government is to protect people, and insure order to some extent. It's gone way past that. Government isn't what makes this country thrive. Free enterprise does. More government means more regulation on free enterprise. See how that's a problem?
@muzik313 the problem is that with lesser n lesser regulation, corruption arises, and most big corporations are corrupted in some way or form. how about we have less regulation on the streets (fewer n fewer cops), we'll see how many more people get robbed n killed (corruption). free enterprise is by no means a perfect system, but its the best we have, its ez to forget that.
We seem to discredit the market's ability to regulate corruption. If a company is out of line or corrupt, they will stop receiving business because of the customers free choice. As long as you don't have monopoly, the market will always have it's only ability to regulate business.

And furthermore, as a veteran of the Iraq war, seeing someone like Boehner constantly turning on the waterworks is very embarassing and extremely discouraging. Think about the young men and women who are risking life and limb everyday out there in the war zone watching this man.
