Jehovahs witnesses DO BELIEVE that Jesus is the son of God. Do your homework before making false accusations. And what is this crap about a pyrimid money scheem ? I've been a Witness for years and i've NEVER been asked for money, not once.
This same scripture in other translations also states that "Jesus lives in you" (NIV); also that he is "among" you (NLT); or "you people are in whom Jesus Christ Lives"(GWT). It's phraseology or semantics.
Semantics are required That's why it's a translation.
By combining these scriptures from the different translations, I know as an intelligent person, that Jesus is not actually inside me moving around, but that kind of literalness is what you are purporting people translate it as.
C'mon, the Bible itself is a compilation of older texts with a lot left out that the 4th century church didn't like.If you wanna be authentic, dig deeper !
Something is really wrong when a religious organization has to produce it's own version of the Bible in order to justify it's doctrine. NWT totally contradicts the true message of both the Old and New Testament. Not to mention that the NWT was based on Johannes Greber's version of the Bible who was a spiritualist at the time and was open that he was instructed by spirits from the spirit world to aid him. Also, his wife was a medium. NWT is an obvious and clear unsound version based on lies.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
wow. gay man. the greek was TRANSLATED from hebrew how about researching instead of another version. MAYBE the GREEK descarded the word you stupid shit. i dislike people who are ignorant and have no evidence on what the fuck they're saying. lawl
you are correct, if this was a verse from the old testament (excluding the small parts of Daniel written in Aramaic). though the verse used the name "Jesus Christ" whom first is introduced at the beginning of the New Testament, which is written entirely in koine Greek.
if you really look at this translation of the Bible (which i have) you will find more than just one instance of such additions to make the translation fit particular theologies.
oh, I might as well say, since you are going to knock the JWs, KNOCK THE KJV and most translations. Since they have ADDED AND SUBTRACTED words and sometimes SENTENCES to and from the texts.
Interlinear translations will ALWAYS be different from a regular translation. You can pick any English translation, and show where it differs from an interlinear reading. This is because interlinear translations oftentimes hide the full meaning of a passage due to their rigid literalness.
To show that other translations have "altered" the meaning of "en umin," consider these translations of James 4:1.
What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you?
These and other translations do not say "in you," for that is impossible. The translators realize that, even the the literal Greek says "in you," that isn't exactly what the passage was saying. It wasn't saying that fights and wars were happening "in" those Christians.
Correct there are many adaptations within the NWT, Revelation speaks about not adding or taking away from the scrolls. But if you read that scripture is Jesus in you? Or are you in union with him?
First of all Revelation speaks of adding TO THAT PARTICULAR BOOK. Remember, the NT was not considered SCRIPTURE untill HUNDREDS of years after at time frame.
its dust, from dust you came and dust you shall return, an snakes talkin, NO the SERPENT had arms and legs it was a beast of the field not a snake, it only became a snake when foolish men got involved with the WORD, an it wasnt a bush talkin it was an ANGEL of the LORD speakin from the bush not the bush itself.. an what is the earth flat stuff where is that...

I suppose it's better to translate 'en hymin' simply as 'in you'. But by itself the translation 'in union with you' does not come across as definitely wrong. Besides, if this has a word-for-word interlinear translation on the facing page, it seems a bit harsh on the JWitnesses to accuse them of trying to foist a false Bible on the world!
Meh, the bible has always been one of those things that been mistranslated, taken out of context and had stuff added in. (Just look at the KJV). Hell the whole concept of the bible comes out a flawed human source, so something like this is nothing new.
Sirs if you were to ask ANY witness of Jehovah which translation they prefer, for sure it would be The New World However "ANY" witness will also tell you that they have multiple versions and USE THEM ALL.. In fact they are encouraged to read different versions all will tell you that they are basically the same EXCEPT that Most Others have taken Gods name out and replaced it with "LORD" over 7000 times - what indignity a book inspired by Jehovah yet all references of him changed thats just wrong.
One of the JWs worst offenses is changing the scripture about Noah int the New Testament that discusses the people who were about to be destroyed. Every other translation I have ever read says "they did not know" or some variation of that.
The JW bible mysteriously says "They took no note" as though they could have known. This is done to say that Noah was going door to door AND building the ark.
The watchtower 'translation' of the bible was subject to an orchestrated systematic bias.
Instead of the bible providing the doctrinal beliefs, it was the other way around, the doctrinal beliefs had inlfuenced the choice of words in the bible. Or in other words, reverse-engineered by the watchtower church. Taken collectively, the message of the bible becomes distorted into name-branding 'god' to to sabotage interfaith worship, and into a pyramid scheme obessesed with recruitment.
And remember it had NEVER rained up to that point in time so Noah must have looked rather odd and out of place, People no doubt stopped by to see what was he up to and asked him questions. Wouldn't you have wanted to "know" what was this guy up to? Hense..They took no note or they did not know (or care) for men were marrying and women were being given in marriage and they took no note. Good day to you.
Point 1. The JW Bible is the ONLY bible that translates that scripture as "they took no note". Every other Bible in existence translates it as "they did not know". Look at Strong's to see the translation for yourself.
Point 2. To be fair, everyone on earth should have had the opportunity to hear about this. Everyone on the entire earth had a fair chance, many of whom lived hundreds and hundreds of miles away?
I agree that everybody should have been given a chance PERHAPS they DID. Why do I say That? Remember at that time Nephilim were all over the place now These "Hybrid" - Angel/Human offspring were Very wicked and Mean. Also Of all the Humans The Inclinations of their hearts was only bad all the time. thus a cleansing took place. Hey it happened and it is foretold that it WILL HAPPEN AGAIN all the witnesses are doing is warning people that's all it's up to each individual to examine for themselves
The Bible text designated YLT is from the 1898 Young's Literal Translation by Robert Young who also compiled Young's Analytical Concordance. This is an extremely literal translation that attempts to preserve the tense and word usage as found in the original Greek and Hebrew writings.
An important thing to remember when 'checking sources out' is this particular man-made organisation HQ in america maintains a very large repository of 'quotable sources' and has had a long history of quoting authorities out of context 'for god'
In so doing, it had created elitism and increased differences, divided humanity, demonised outsiders, and ultimately fed the expansionism now worth $1.7bn
Take it easy. I don't want to argue. Im just saying that there are vids about this subject on YouTube. Obviously this is not the end of the story and not where id end mine.
Do you really want to go down this road? I think you will be shocked at what you find. There are a few good vids on youtube about it. Only look if you can accept the truth, real 'truth'. Don't listen too much to WTS propaganda.
The watchtower is beginning to lose its grip, due to this and many other skeletons in the closet surfacing, much to their embarrasment. It's a shame, the cohesion of the watchtower following was quite strong, but what's happening more now, the various watchtower churches outside america are departing from the standard watchtower framework and the way they worship. This trend is continuing, similar to what's happened with seventh day adventists from which the watchtower orginates in the 1800's

yes there is something in the bible to not add anything .
But there is in the bible also a encouraging that the reader should use spiritual discernment :
so is Jesus in you ?
or are you in Jesus?
a man cant be in someone else can he ?
no but he can be in union !
please dont hesitate to use your understanding when reading the bible.
if you study the bible intelligently it will bring you out of the dark ages.
churches have for ages tried to hide the true meaning of this point.
