Great videos! Eckhart Tolle manages to articulate the ideas that often swim around in our heads which we cannot seem to nail down and express.I find him very inspirational, so much so that I have written a few songs inspired by his ideas, feel free to visit my channel to listen.
It seems to me that it IS something, but it's not form or content. Does something mean form? Isn't NOTHING the opposite of SOMETHING? So if it isn't something, it's nothing. If it is, he could as well say it is nothing, which would sound very weird to me, even though many people describe the essential self as emptiness. The buddhists call true self not-self. This is still a "bit" of a mystery to me, but I know it's not form or content. Is someone on the same track with me? Words are lame. PEACE!
@ErkkiEno Right, that's why they say words are not adequate to explain it. It is "nothing" in the sense that it is no thing, no form, no physical substance or thoughtform. It is awareness itself. I thinks that's about as close to a verbal description as I can think of.
I think that Eckhart has it right but he misses a fundamental point about awareness which is that you must do with kindness, and openness towards yourself. Because sometimes that is the only way you can stay in moment when it is not what you want it to be. I would say that Pema Chodron's work is an important companion work to Eckhart's.
I really enjoy theses tapes. I am so delighted how Tintin became wise when he grew up. The knowledge he gained from his trip to the Himalayas - when he met the monks in the monastery, was profound. I find it very convincing even with a new name.
Awareness of ego/pain body is enough. Awareness and ego/pain body cannot coexist. Instead of making ego/pain body wrong or right, just notice it, just watch (observe) ego and the pain body.
I've been devouring this guy's books lately. I'd been an atheist for some time...a position in reaction to the disgust i felt toward man's religions. I still think atheism is justified in light of that....but....it's nice to see someone who can cut through all the BS and point to the truth itself, as experience. 2 years ago, sitting on a hill outside, after a VERY painful life experience, I unexpectedly found myself IMMERSED in love and peace. I've been trying to get that back ever since..
@avedic amazing story. the mind constantly looks at experiences and tries to grab at them, this might be what is happening to you. something will be experienced, such as oneness or love, and the mind wants it back again and tries to look for it. the point is that the mind can never find oneness, cause it cannot grasp what it is, nor can it remember a moment of loving, peace, stillness.
These are great pointers. Now don't look at the pointer but look at where the pointer is pointing. God is in the breath, accept without expecting anything because by expectation you will miss it. Feel this breath, be aware of this moment, be in the present in honestly. You will never understand god thru concept, don't try, only with your heart. There are your riches. Many masters have come and all have said the same thing. Not with mind but with heart. Thanks for the vid uploads.
He's talking about the essence which is God, but he's being careful not to trigger your awareness too much. There is a separate part of yourself which is God and judges you.
@wayghost You and your mind? That implies a split does is not? The ego does not exist. The body is something the mind is nothing. The whole universe is made of something and nothing. It's the basis for the binary code. You are not your thoughts! No one can help you because there's no "you" to help!
This man woke me up! Yet the message is timeless and is repeated thru all the masters on being in the here n now. In the now, we are the background, the awareness that witness all of our lives.
He's not on drugs, though, very present in this moment, you could see it in his eyes, the way he breathes and speaks. That Deeper presence is in all of us. And when we are in the presence of more concious, we become more concious, concious of our True Selfs.
@musicPMA Yes there are many ways to expand one's awareness, like meditating or taking drugs. The latter way won't last long and comes with tons of side effects.
I dont think people understand the when you are completely being aware of the present moment and stop worrying about the future or thinking about the past you literally go in a state of joy, peace that feels as good as exstacy the drug, and sorry for the example but ive done that drug and now i can feel that happiness when iam sober, dont need that stuff anymore.
@TheHoffmanHouse i know exaclty wat ur talking about. whenever im with my girlfriend, who i love and she loves me, i completley forget about things that bother me, and i dont worry about the past or future. i just think about wat im doing at that exact moment with her. and being with her makes me happier than anything else. i feel so peaceful and happy. i miss her :(
Well this essential nature of ours is just the beginning of Wisdom. That will be the base upon which we build a clear understanding of all varied facets of a life lived in the spirit. Let it be a starting off point to sincere and well thought inquiry into the numerous mysteries contained in the explosion of life. Don't stop with an novice advaita view that will render you impotent in regards to fathoming the purpose and meaning of human life in spiritual evolution.
I love you Eckhart,& thank you for being here! I have been on my "awakened" journey for a minimum of 20 yrs. The people I have experienced, shared & grew with are all probably feeling great relief (aka=gratitude) . I am not that old by any means. lol! Yet, I have found the many more people are taking responsibility for them-selves. Even 10 yrs ago an enlightened person would be 'shy' to say "I know" or "I have Mastered that". X0X0

@Lee222222 Me too! I've kinda been realizing lately though, that expecting oneself to be detached from the ego only makes things worse... I'd say as long as one allows the mental dissatisfaction to run its course, and one then takes positive action to correct the external problem, everything will be fine.
@partypants99 - One cannot "correct the external problem" because for every problem that one "corrects" there will be another to take the place of it. That is, until one finds the inner peace which allows one to fix the internal. The "problems" are always inside of us - never outside. For example: what you may call a "problem," others may not even "see" and the same vice versa for you. If you meditate you will see this without anyone else writing it or telling you.
@FredericaBimble Oh, but I certainly have understood this in meditation. With "external problem" I was just trying to differentiate (for purposes of discussion) the "problems" the mind invents with a condition that that the higher self would prefer to be changed. Tolle himself said that if one allows what is perceived as a problem to be what it is, instead of just worrying and thinking about it, then, "action is possible."
anyone can change their life, be the best person you possibly can, aside from all religion if you are the best you, yourself can be, there is nothing left to do. once you do die at least it can be peaceful. happy month of December fellow humans communicating on computers :)
What makes him more right than any religious prophet is the fact that he doesn't speak out against religion, since he has understood that that would just be his mind and ego wanting to be correct - he understands that the "Christ" of everyday religion is just a mental concept, and that the real Christ is the formless consciousness that is behind all thinking. He would just be amused at the comments here - they're attempting to put him down, while proving exactly what he says in the video.

@DrShorting A lot of what he teaches comes straight from Jiddu Krishnamurti. The Power of Now and Jiddu's Book the Future is now is based on the same principle. I like Tolle also because he is a bit more accessible than Jiddu, but Jiddu's teachings are infinitely more profound and describes exactly what thought does to you and how it works in the mind and brain. I actually found Jiddu by searching Tolle.
@JazzyKat2009 The truth does not come from teaching, it comes from knowing. His words come from his own remembering, just as others like him who remember & did not 4get through the un-eduction of our social systems. We are ALL born with EVERYTHING we need 2 know & that can be known, or not. There is really nothing 2 think about, just everything 2 remember & experience. I had never read any of his books, I was just told by a friend that this guy says the same stuff I do; & no1 taught me nothing.
Even he uses words to tell us what he knows. And are words wrong to speak. No... Words are our release of energy into the universe for it's own sake. As the created, we are meant to create with words.

@haldor72 Wonderfuly put! I feel that is the very essence of our evolution. The genuine "grassroots" movement that can only go from base, each of us matters. We can not create a system that will be successful the way we are now, it's futile. And it's wonderful too because it means the solutions can only come from all of us, each, one by one, choosing to embrace acceptance and love. It's an ultimately democratic process and in so many ways relates to "and the meek shall inherit the earth".
I think that we have too much impulses today (tv, internet, phones, Ipads, advertising, noise, trafic), and too much bad influences (tv, internet) which makes it more of a challenge to stay in your feelings, and not in your brain. Sometimes, it's a good idea to switch off tv for a week or more...

This is a great video and Eckhart Tolle again speaks the clear, concise words that resonate with so many people. The Pain Body and Egoic Mind are horrendous dysfunctional aspects of the 'conditioned mind' and how people cope with it is incredible. People that seem happy really are operating in the Egoic Mind, concealing their tremendous unhappiness and mental stress.
Even if you believed what you believed at the age of 26, it doesn't mean it is THE truth. It is only a valid interpretation of the events that you saw in the world at the time you formed the belief. Your experiences were probably about feeling a sense of seeking/ feeling bad about yourself/ People telling you what Jesus did, reading and hearing about scriptures/ offerings of salvation etc. Did you see with your very own eyes that ALL OF WHAT HAD BEEN SAID TO YOU was THE TRUTH in those events?
I see me in you. It took me about 25 years to first live through my indoctrinated belief system, then slowly experiment with my individuality all the while trying to justify my religious core beliefs. it took many years to go from trying to rationalize on top of those beliefs to questioning every one of my assumptions and beliefs that I have acquired. Truly honest questioning is going as deep as you can with all your beliefs and making it clear where they are coming from.
@Slimarus Our reality illusion is so deep that we use all our intelligence to defend it if we aren't aware of its nature. It seems so real that for years we live in it but do not suspect the slightest that we are its maker. To go out of it you must analyze it, research deep and wide. Even this will not be enough for some beliefs acquired early. You might need the help of another to be able to see alternative interpretations.

You might be very very surprised about the nature of beliefs when you eliminate a number of beliefs from your life. If you are really honest and willing about your search for truth and if you are really willing to risk the shattering of your egoic self and face its consequences, research about astral projection/belief elimination and the ego.

Well, honestly, its you that thinks that not me. I "asked" for forgiveness in repentance when i was 21, that was 14 years ago.
I have asked many times for knowledge of what the truth maybe. I have to be honest and say i have been down many avenues of thought, and i am so very greatful for that, which i give thanks for, along with acknowlegement of the souls of all meat that i consume.
I am not blindly guided by a book, that was censored and meddled with by men who seek nothing but worshipping and giving my energy to an ideolgy that causes nothing but hardship.
I have my own theories on who Jesus Christ really was ( other than son of God )
there has to be more to it than that..so i seek, and i find myself investigating many avenues. I am very spiritual and i am not consumed by consumerism or "things" that i cannot take with me.
@MaffyMoose Those are you're opinions, not based on fact. Frankly your theories are meaningless if not based on truth. Jesus Christ and all he did and said is a historical fact. If what Christ says is true then you have a choice to make, your way or repent and trust in Christ. Every belief and religion is based on what you can do, how good you can be, look within etc...Christianity is all what God does!
@MaffyMoose As I previously mentioned Tolle and all other beliefs and religion are man made, Christianity is all of God and about God. Actually the ego lies with those that believe the Tolle teaching because those that adhere to it reject the truth of Christ, and I would add without a thorough examination.Anyone can examine their heart to the ten commandments and clearly see they heve broken them, that's proof of our sin nature. It's not an attempt to control, it's fact.
@joseph82069 you haven't yet understood the subjective nature of belief. fact is an event that has occurred. belief is the interpretation of events. you interpret what you see in the world and your interpretation is Christianity is the only true religion. you haven't yet understood the difference between reality and an interpretation of reality.
@Slimarus Truth is reality, it doesn't change from one person to the next, it's fixed and permanent. A persons interpretation of the truth can be wrong but the truth is the truth. Jesus said He is the Way, the Truth, the Life, no one comes to the Father but through Him. If what He said is truth, then every other belief and religion is false. There are many other scriptures that show the same. Christ is the only way for anyone to be forgiven and gain eternal life.
@joseph82069 Reality doesn't change from one person to the next. But the interpretations of reality change. This means, the interpretations are just interpretations. One of them need not be correct. Maybe all of them are valid at the moment they are made, to the makers. Human beings have one ... flaw in their thinking. Once they believe an interpretation is the only truth, they mistake it as the reality itself. All their thoughts then have to be consistent with the accepted interpretation.
@Slimarus One's thinking can be freed from the limiting effects of a belief only after being able to bring alternative interpretations to the events that the belief is formed on. What is an alternative interpretation of reality other than Christianity is the only religion and those who don't believe in it will have eternal pain in the afterlife? Once a valid interpretation can be clearly articulated then Christianity won't be a belief for you.
@Slimarus Wow that's great word gymnastics. The word of God is eternal and true. The words of Christ and the gospel are very clear. Repent and trust in Christ, who is God incarnate, the Savior and Lord, the only way of salvation. Those that don't like that put their spin on it, but it's quite clear. @joseph82069 If what you say is a fact, then you must have directly experienced it. Belief is not enough. Everybody believes something. You can not convince people on mere belief. Your belief system even contains beliefs of judgment on believing your belief system. That's why you can't even consider an alternative. An example alternative: Jesus is God incarnate, as everyone is. We are the same as Jesus. Everybody has the exact same potential.
@Slimarus I have experienced it, yes. but experience doesn't prove anything. Christ coming to earth and doing what He did proved He was God and proved what He said was true and fulfilled numerous Old Teastament prophecies.
Everyone is Not Jesus or divine. Everyone is however a wretched sinner from birth, in desperate need of the Savior, He is their only hope.
@joseph82069 I agree that what I say is also only word gymnastics. The only real thing is the experience. It is much clear that we are both somehow experiencing the divine. You are currently interpreting it as you have been most probably indoctrinated as a child, or as a young person. Or at the time you formed your beliefs about religion, you couldn't see another possible interpretation to what you felt to be divine. All those scriptures, all the organization surrounding you..
@Slimarus Experience proves nothing. Unless your experience is founded in truth. The truth is Jesus is the only way to be forgiven, for all people. He said repent or you will perish, He said there is no life outside of knowing Him through repentance and faith. He didn't say there are many different paths to heaven, He said there is one way, through Him on His terms. That excludes everything else.

@Slimarus Jesus Christ the incarnate Son of God is a historical fact. He is who He claimed to be, He did what He said He would do, He will return to earth, but not to die for our sins, but in judgment and wrath.
It amazing how people try and try and fail to negate the truth. All for one reason, the sin nature of all people wants one thing, whatever it wants to gratify itself. People do not want anyone telling them what to do or what to think, or be told what they believe is false, it's pride!
@Slimarus I'm sorry but you can't change the truth, it's truth. It will never change. The word of God is truth, Christ is God incarnate, He is the truth. That and everything He said will never change. Lame interpretations will fade away because they are false and not true. All people must go through Christ by repentance and faith. That is truth and it will never change. It's for all people at all times...
I am Thankful I have the presence of mind to wander and ask myself these kind of relevant questions. And to see that worshipping not matter which "idol" or ""god" stone/metal or otherwise, does no good for anyone concerned.

@MaffyMoose The kingdom of God is within believers, I know it's not popular but it's exclusive, you must repent and have faith in Christ alone. Jesus said those who worship God must worship Him in spirit and truth, this cannot be done without being saved by Christ, a believer. Man worships what man wants, their own idols/gods.

The vast majority of beings suffering in the world today are suffering due to lack of food, clean water, sanitary living conditions. Don't blame the gov't or the "masses" blame yourself and then let's do something about it. An new equal money system is a good start.
Monetary systems need to be abolished entirely. Money in itself is the catalyst of all that is wrong with what we see. The desire for more of it(greed)...and the lack of compassion to assist with it and fix he problems we see. again...Greed!

@JeanneKenneyHere The root cause for all suffering is sin. Helping people in need is a very good thing especially as a Christian. But there will continue to be suffering because of sin.....all people need the Savior(Jesus).
@MaffyMoose I haven't said anyone is going to burn in hell if they don't do things a certain way. I do believe the bible clearly teaches there is a hell. As far as doing there is nothing you do as far as works to be saved. Repentance and faith is something God works in your heart, you repsond to His truth. Humble yourself...examine your sinfulness....you need the Savior.
@MaffyMoose Yes definately...there are lots of Christians and lots of false Christians that give the faith a bad wrap. But that is to be expected...true Christians still have a sin nature and do stupid stuff, myself included..and there are many who say they are Christians and do crazy stuff that is not found in the scripture. There are some bad police officers, but I'm not going to assume they are all bad. Judgment is real, for many it will be a terrible thing!

@InnSewerAnts Well MaffyMoose usually ends comments with love and light. So I asked. I'm almost certain MaffyMoose meant(but I could be wrong) the light as a spiritual light not what we see. The scriptures(Bible) use the word light and darkness spiritually. ex. those who know Christ(who is the true Light and the Light of the world) are in the light but those who reject Christ are in darkness.
Love is way more than some chemical and evolution is impossible. God is love, love comes from God.

We used the fact it works like that since before we even understood it proper to breed cows, banana's worth eating (the original banana was mostly seed, not much flesh to eat.) dogs, cats etc. If evolution is impossible,modern cows, banana's, the chihuahua and maine coone cat next door would all be impossible.
@InnSewerAnts I mean macro evolution, not micro evolution. There is no evidence of one species(kind) changing to another. There are definately changes in the same species(kind). But a chihuahua is still a dog. Apes and people are not related..this is the lie that is taught, yet there is more evidence for creation, but schools won't allow that, because people don't want there to be a God that they have to be accountable to.

It seems to me that it IS something, but it's not form or content. Does something mean form? Isn't NOTHING the opposite of SOMETHING? So if it isn't something, it's nothing. If it is, he could as well say it is nothing, which would sound very weird to me, even though many people describe the essential self as emptiness. The buddhists call true self not-self. This is still a "bit" of a mystery to me, but I know it's not form or content. Is someone on the same track with me? Words are lame. PEACE!

I think that Eckhart has it right but he misses a fundamental point about awareness which is that you must do with kindness, and openness towards yourself. Because sometimes that is the only way you can stay in moment when it is not what you want it to be. I would say that Pema Chodron's work is an important companion work to Eckhart's.

I've been devouring this guy's books lately. I'd been an atheist for some time...a position in reaction to the disgust i felt toward man's religions. I still think atheism is justified in light of that....but....it's nice to see someone who can cut through all the BS and point to the truth itself, as experience. 2 years ago, sitting on a hill outside, after a VERY painful life experience, I unexpectedly found myself IMMERSED in love and peace. These are great pointers. Now don't look at the pointer but look at where the pointer is pointing. God is in the breath, accept without expecting anything because by expectation you will miss it. Feel this breath, be aware of this moment, be in the present in honestly. You will never understand god thru concept, don't try, only with your heart. There are your riches. I'd say as long as one allows the mental dissatisfaction to run its course, and one then takes positive action to correct the external problem, everything will be fine.

@partypants99 - One cannot "correct the external problem" because for every problem that one "corrects" there will be another to take the place of it. That is, until one finds the inner peace which allows one to fix the internal. The "problems" are always inside of us - never outside. For example: what you may call a "problem," others may not even "see" and the same vice versa for you. If you meditate you will see this without anyone else writing it or telling you.

With "external problem" I was just trying to differentiate (for purposes of discussion) the "problems" the mind invents with a condition that that the higher self would prefer to be changed. Tolle himself said that if one allows what is perceived as a problem to be what it is, instead of just worrying and thinking about it, then, "action is possible."

What makes him more right than any religious prophet is the fact that he doesn't speak out against religion, since he has understood that that would just be his mind and ego wanting to be correct - he understands that the "Christ" of everyday religion is just a mental concept, and that the real Christ is the formless consciousness that is behind all thinking. He would just be amused at the comments here - they're attempting to put him down, while proving exactly what he says in the video.

@DrShorting A lot of what he teaches comes straight from Jiddu Krishnamurti. The Power of Now and Jiddu's Book the Future is now is based on the same principle. I like Tolle also because he is a bit more accessible than Jiddu, but Jiddu's teachings are infinitely more profound and describes exactly what thought does to you and how it works in the mind and brain. I actually found Jiddu by searching Tolle.

@haldor72 Wonderfuly put! I feel that is the very essence of our evolution. The genuine "grassroots" movement that can only go from base, each of us matters. We can not create a system that will be successful the way we are now, it's futile. And it's wonderful too because it means the solutions can only come from all of us, each, one by one, choosing to embrace acceptance and love. It's an ultimately democratic process and in so many ways relates to "and the meek shall inherit the earth".

I think that we have too much impulses today (tv, internet, phones, Ipads, advertising, noise, trafic), and too much bad influences (tv, internet) which makes it more of a challenge to stay in your feelings, and not in your brain. Sometimes, it's a good idea to switch off tv for a week or more...

The Pain Body and Egoic Mind are horrendous dysfunctional aspects of the 'conditioned mind' and how people cope with it is incredible. I see me in you. It took me about 25 years to first live through my indoctrinated belief system, then slowly experiment with my individuality all the while trying to justify my religious core beliefs. it took many years to go from trying to rationalize on top of those beliefs to questioning every one of my assumptions and beliefs that I have acquired. Truly honest questioning is going as deep as you can with all your beliefs and making it clear where they are coming from.

It seems so real that for years we live in it but do not suspect the slightest that we are its maker. To go out of it you must analyze it, research deep and wide. You might be very very surprised about the nature of beliefs when you eliminate a number of beliefs from your life. If you are really honest and willing about your search for truth and if you are really willing to risk the shattering of your egoic self and face its consequences, research about astral projection/belief elimination and the ego.

Well, honestly, its you that thinks that not me. I "asked" for forgiveness in repentance when i was 21, that was 14 years ago.
I have asked many times for knowledge of what the truth maybe. I have to be honest and say i have been down many avenues of thought, and i am so very greatful for that, which i give thanks for, along with acknowlegement of the souls of all meat that i consume.

I am not blindly guided by a book, that was censored and meddled with by men who seek nothing but worshipping and giving my energy to an ideolgy that causes nothing but hardship.
I have my own theories on who Jesus Christ really was ( other than son of God )
there has to be more to it than that..so i seek, and i find myself investigating many avenues. I am very spiritual and i am not consumed by consumerism or "things" that i cannot take with me.

If what Christ says is true then you have a choice to make, your way or repent and trust in Christ. Every belief and religion is based on what you can do, how good you can be, look within etc...Christianity is all what God does!

@MaffyMoose As I previously mentioned Tolle and all other beliefs and religion are man made, Christianity is all of God and about God. Actually the ego lies with those that believe the Tolle teaching because those that adhere to it reject the truth of Christ, and I would add without a thorough examination.Anyone can examine their heart to the ten commandments and clearly see they heve broken them, that's proof of our sin nature. It's not an attempt to control, it's fact.

@joseph82069 you haven't yet understood the subjective nature of belief. fact is an event that has occurred. belief is the interpretation of events. you interpret what you see in the world and your interpretation is Christianity is the only true religion. you haven't yet understood the difference between reality and an interpretation of reality.

@Slimarus Truth is reality, it doesn't change from one person to the next, it's fixed and permanent. A persons interpretation of the truth can be wrong but the truth is the truth. Jesus said He is the Way, the Truth, the Life, no one comes to the Father but through Him. If what He said is truth, then every other belief and religion is false. There are many other scriptures that show the same. Christ is the only way for anyone to be forgiven and gain eternal life.

@joseph82069 Reality doesn't change from one person to the next. But the interpretations of reality change. This means, the interpretations are just interpretations. One of them need not be correct. Maybe all of them are valid at the moment they are made, to the makers. Human beings have one ... flaw in their thinking. Once they believe an interpretation is the only truth, they mistake it as the reality itself. All their thoughts then have to be consistent with the accepted interpretation.

@Slimarus One's thinking can be freed from the limiting effects of a belief only after being able to bring alternative interpretations to the events that the belief is formed on. What is an alternative interpretation of reality other than Christianity is the only religion and those who don't believe in it will have eternal pain in the afterlife? Once a valid interpretation can be clearly articulated then Christianity won't be a belief for you.

Repent and trust in Christ, who is God incarnate, the Savior and Lord, the only way of salvation. Those that don't like that put their spin on it, but it's quite clear. The fact that God even allowed us to have a chance to be forgiven is very gracious and loving, in fact the most loving thing ever...

@joseph82069 If what you say is a fact, then you must have directly experienced it. Belief is not enough. Everybody believes something. You can not convince people on mere belief. Your belief system even contains beliefs of judgment on believing your belief system. That's why you can't even consider an alternative. An example alternative: Jesus is God incarnate, as everyone is. We are the same as Jesus. Everybody has the exact same potential.

@Slimarus I have experienced it, yes. but experience doesn't prove anything. Christ coming to earth and doing what He did proved He was God and proved what He said was true and fulfilled numerous Old Teastament prophecies.
Everyone is Not Jesus or divine. Everyone is however a wretched sinner from birth, in desperate need of the Savior, He is their only hope.

@joseph82069 I agree that what I say is also only word gymnastics. The only real thing is the experience. It is much clear that we are both somehow experiencing the divine. You are currently interpreting it as you have been most probably indoctrinated as a child, or as a young person. Or at the time you formed your beliefs about religion, you couldn't see another possible interpretation to what you felt to be divine. All those scriptures, all the organization surrounding you..

@Slimarus Experience proves nothing. Unless your experience is founded in truth. The truth is Jesus is the only way to be forgiven, for all people. He said repent or you will perish, He said there is no life outside of knowing Him through repentance and faith. He didn't say there are many different paths to heaven, He said there is one way, through Him on His terms. That excludes everything else.
I was never ondoctrinated. I didn't grow up in church etc. I wasn't saved until I was 26.

@Slimarus Jesus Christ the incarnate Son of God is a historical fact. He is who He claimed to be, He did what He said He would do, He will return to earth, but not to die for our sins, but in judgment and wrath.
It amazing how people try and try and fail to negate the truth. All for one reason, the sin nature of all people wants one thing, whatever it wants to gratify itself. People do not want anyone telling them what to do or what to think, or be told what they believe is false, it's pride!

That and everything He said will never change. Lame interpretations will fade away because they are false and not true. All people must go through Christ by repentance and faith. Jesus said those who worship God must worship Him in spirit and truth, this cannot be done without being saved by Christ, a believer. Man worships what man wants, their own idols/gods.

The bible never says money is bad(I know you weren't saying that), but the love of money is the root of all sorts of evil, again it all lies with the heart of man, sinful,selfish,greed etc..We all need the Savior! There are no exceptions

As far as doing there is nothing you do as far as works to be saved. Repentance and faith is something God works in your heart, you repsond to His truth. But that is to be expected...true Christians still have a sin nature and do stupid stuff, myself included..and there are many who say they are Christians and do crazy stuff that is not found in the scripture. There are some bad police officers, but I'm not going to assume they are all bad. Judgment is real, for many it will be a terrible thing!

Love starts with a chemical drug cocktail called being in love, to get you drugged up enough to screw up and end up with kids in your life.Love is an evolutionary trait, Think about it, love makes you protect,even sacrifice yourself for loved ones, thereby saving your kids (your dna's future) and their most important caretaker, the mother.It doesn't detract from the beauty of love in any way

@InnSewerAnts Well MaffyMoose usually ends comments with love and light. So I asked. I'm almost certain MaffyMoose meant(but I could be wrong) the light as a spiritual light not what we see. The scriptures(Bible) use the word light and darkness spiritually. ex. those who know Christ(who is the true Light and the Light of the world) are in the light but those who reject Christ are in darkness.
Love is way more than some chemical and evolution is impossible. God is love, love comes from God.

@joseph82069 How is evolution impossible? Evolutions is not a theory it's an observed fact, we have seen evolution happen with our own eyes.
We used the fact it works like that since before we even understood it proper to breed cows, banana's worth eating (the original banana was mostly seed, not much flesh to eat.) dogs, cats etc. If evolution is impossible,modern cows, banana's, the chihuahua and maine coone cat next door would all be impossible.

@InnSewerAnts I mean macro evolution, not micro evolution. There is no evidence of one species(kind) changing to another. There are definately changes in the same species(kind). But a chihuahua is still a dog. Apes and people are not related..this is the lie that is taught, yet there is more evidence for creation, but schools won't allow that, because people don't want there to be a God that they have to be accountable to.
