The 2013 GTR runs from 0-60 in under 3 seconds pretty easily. I love V8s and daily drive an SRT8, but you can't argue with the GTR. It'll spank pretty much anything you throw at it short of an Agera.
@R34GTRR35 Ford and Chevy really got their stuff together this year, especially ford. I love all cars but the GT-R would get spanked. Maybe the 0-60 time is shorter but it's awd and it's gonna start slowing down while the rwd ZR1 watches him in his mirror.

@beastman444just a base model, he only went nos because its cheap speed, a 6.60 in the 1/8th translates to 9.90s in the 1/4 which aint bad for $7000 but hes a gearhead so he can build them himself. i tryed to talk him into stuffing a 350 in my civic and converting it to rwd but its way to much work and it wouldnt be easy at all

@nathenandrew It is, the 2011 mustang is actually pretty decent for the money. IMO it's the only gt since the 80's 5.0 that isn't a laughing stock. Either way I'm a import fanboy, I care more about handling and rally than going in a straight line.

in Canada - the GTR sells for $100,000 for whatever the fuck reason. Even if I hop over the boarder and buy it- they make me pay the difference here. Cruise control? Power everything? Rear wheel drive? No? About the only thing I can think of that my car doesn't have, is a cd changer, navigation, sunroof and automatic transmission. Half those things can be added easy aftermarket, and the other two, I don't want.

So for the price of a stock GT-R, I could have a reliable 8 second Ford race car, closed trailer, spare parts and a 4x4 tow vehicle. So I could beat the Bugatti and the Skyline both repeatedly without problems, then tow the Nissan home when the transmission breaks trying to keep up.

@altimgamr Not sure what you've ridden in, but my mustang is, even for being a mid 90s model, very comfortable. Better than my friends' 2005ish Altima 2.5. Then again, it has like 60k miles and I think the transmission is slipping. Speedometer reads much higher than it's really going. Is that more Nissan quality?

The GT-R is way more beast than a daily driver mustang could ever be. The Mustang jumped too, and in fact, barely even came to a stop before just taking off. Cruise control? Power everything? Rear wheel drive? No? About the only thing I can think of that my car doesn't have, is a cd changer, navigation, sunroof and automatic transmission. Half those things can be added easy aftermarket, and the other two, I don't want.

F150 outsells the Titan, which is junk. Mustang outsells EVERY car Nissan makes. Taurus and maxima, I don't know. Altima and fusion, the fusion is the sales leader. Focus outsells the sentra by a large margin. Face it, Nissan is a small automaker because nobody wants them.

So for the price of a stock GT-R, I could have a reliable 8 second Ford race car, closed trailer, spare parts and a 4x4 tow vehicle. So I could beat the Bugatti and the Skyline both repeatedly without problems, then tow the Nissan home when the transmission breaks trying to keep up.

@altimgamr Not sure what you've ridden in, but my mustang is, even for being a mid 90s model, very comfortable. Better than my friends' 2005ish Altima 2.5. Then again, it has like 60k miles and I think the transmission is slipping. Speedometer reads much higher than it's really going. Is that more Nissan quality?

Ok buddy...And yeah, if the 370Z was a sports car, I would call it mediocre. Same with the 300ZX, 280Z, 260Z, 240Z. All mediocre. Both in sales and in performance. And a mustang isn't a sports car either.

More people restore 1980s Mustangs, Camaros and Buicks than Z cars. Nissan didn't fix the transmission problem, it's still as weak as it was day 1, they just removed the launch control program. That's not fixing anything.

The GT-R is way more beast than a daily driver mustang could ever be. The Mustang jumped too, and in fact, barely even came to a stop before just taking off.
