I signed up to youtube to make this comment...I'm 42 and tommorrow I'm having surgery to replace my battery after 7 yrs...and I can't wait. My baterry died in May 2011 and I have missed it so much. When I had the original implant in (2005) they used to cut you open, now its all done by 2 tiny incisions..(amazing) For anyone contemplating this surgery, I say "go for it" It changed my world, I have my life back and so can you. What do you have to lose? Good Luck to anyone contemplating this.
I had this done in November. November 15, to be exact (I believe). I LOVE IT !!! I have RSD in my left foot and ankle and I've out of commission since 2007 and I am 28. I can't begin to tell how much life I have now due the Spinal Cord Stimulator. Its been a long rough road but I am blessed and highly favored.
I am having mine on 12-29-11. Just 4 days from now. I have spina bifita L-5 & discectomy on 3 other discs. My trial was 12-14-11 thru 12-20-11. Went great. I have a wonderful neurosurgeon who has finally given me hope. Would rather not take 23 medications. I want my life back. I am so looking forward 2 this surgery. Not the pain after, but of the relief I will finally have after. Thx 4 the video. Helps 2 know what 2 expect
i'am having this done november 16 2011 . it took me a while to actually get to this point to where i'am having this put in . had the trial and did wonderful . but just having put in me and leaving it there was not sure of .
thank you for this video. I am still scared to do this sugery my dr said it would help me. He said this is the only thing he can do for me and the pain i noticed it was on the guys neck but the pain is in my left foot to the knee in pain I use a cane to get around when I need to be. but I too want my active life back.again thank you i am hoping this will work this is my last choice. (by the way im terrified of needles, sugery ect. )
@wolfchick101:Honey. I am too but I went on ahead and did it anyway b/c it is what's going to help me, back into what I was doing. Some minor setbacks due to the wires, but nevertheless, it is worth it. I've had mine for a little under a month. I still walk with my cane -- when needed.
