  • Sexy as all get out.

  • i dont understand why roxy is not on the radio if i was a dj i would play them alot they are so missed by the radio stations get a fuckin grip edmonton start playing some great music instead of the usual top boring 40s

  • @hammer1416 I know it's amazing you never hear Roxy Music "on the radio". You did back in the 70's. At least I did on WMMS FM in Cleveland. The music was played a lot. In fact when the band was in town for a concert Bryan Ferry, would come and do an interview. Then in the early 80's WMMS stopped playing bands like Roxy Music. 1983 Roxy for the Avalon Tour in Clevedand. Kid Leo WMMS disc jockey came up introduced the band. He was booed. Very interesting stuff back then.

  • i concur..you never hear ROXY MUSIC on the radio and a lot of the music aired today has roots in ROXY MUSIC..of course in college ROXY MUSIC was on the radio all the time..that is if you listened to the right station..in cleveland..it was

WMMS 101.7..of course the decade was the 70's..

  • I love the delicate guitar solo from 2:10 to 2:45!

  • great song tomake love to..actually the whole album is...

  • @leetahful oh yes i agree 100%

  • Roxy Music was the band, that tougt me to listen... Listen.

  • Every time that I turn on the radio or VH1 lately I want to throw up. How did this group make such amazing songs like this so effortlessly thirty years ago and yet today performers are incapable of creating a memorable tune with the most hi-tech assistance and detailed instructions? RM is the best.

  • @industrialsun - Agreed. In fact, now that you mention it, I don't think I've ever heard Roxy Music on the radio, not even the stations that play older music.

  • @industrialsun It must be the pressure of the music industry.....

  • @industrialsun Bryan and company come from a time when the music governed everything... musicians from the 70´s had total freedom.....in my opinion this never happened again, and it´s a pitty

  • Yes so True....even The One hit wonders had more melody ! Day trip to Banger...

  • Testament to true love.

  • Avalon is a masterpiece

  • One of the best tunes on that album, and I think one of Bryan Ferry's/Roxy Musics best ... a classic !!! Simply Elegant !!!

  • @whitekuduone Lennon disgusting creature?!? Whaaaat?!?

  • @whitekuduone You're a mouse with tumours and your short and insignificant life is nothing more than an experiment.

  • I fell in love listening to this song. No better memory than that.

  • @psychocartoonrobo - that's a brilliant piece of perception there - the connection between "I'd do anything to turn you on" and the ending refrain of "I'd love to turn you on" of the Beatles' A Day In The Life seems so clear now. And the line "Is it raining in New York on Fifth Avenue?" is clearly a reference to John Lennon moving into the Hotel Pierre on Fifth Avenue. Thank you for adding an extra layer of poignancy to an already great song. :-)

  • sexy as f*ck

  • most awesome song ever !

  • TOP 10 CD´S IN MY COLLECTION

    BGRDS

  • @voderick a great song but a loser comment

  • Wonderful Song. Roxy Music is the best......

  • This is a gorgeous, sexy song from an album that is completely that way from beginning to end.

  • wow! thanks for the clearing "pyschocartoonrobo"! now I love this song even more :-) Bryan is such a brilliant writer!

  • Long life to Avalon!

  • I bought my first AVALON cassette in the summer of 1983. Wore it out. I bought a replacement cassette in 1987. Wore it out. Then in 1990, I bought the CD to replace the cassette. This album is perfect. This album is timeless.

  • BB1, I had to laugh. I wore out my cassette in the 90's decorating a house and remembering a lost love. Reminds me of good times had. I too must buy the CD ;¬)

  • Para mi, la mejor canción de Roxy Music

  • Para mí también

  • If only this would have come on the radio when I was most wanting in words!

  • THE New York song right next to any Lou Reed song on NYC.

  • Bryan is the truly the MAN

  • this is a great love song.

I remain convinced this is one of the 80's best efforts ,
