Recently rediscovered the very hot Stuart Whitman on Encore on Demand. In '67 I was a teenager; and, I'd like to say SW was not just another pretty boy. The man could act and was never typed casted. His appeal was universal; I hope he is well.
Stuart Whitman is my most favorite actor. I was 10 when Cimmaron Strip was on. I was so in love with him. I wrote him a letter and He sent me and autograph picture and a short hand written note. He was so kind to take the time to answer a silly little girls letter. He will always have a special place in my heart.
Nobody could rock a pair of DaisyDukes better than S.W. in "Sands of the Kalihari" (:42) I think the older Colin Farrell gets, the more he looks like S.W.
whitman had one of the strangest most distinctive ways of talking, never could figure out where in hell he dug up that accent: it rivals Christopher Walkens which was totally a fake, very put on but all his ultimately whereas Whitman talks like no other actor I ever heard and its not his voice its his enunciation, almost stumbling assumed it was eastern but that twernt where the lad came from
glad he made it in cimmaron strip if anyone can tell me whom he even remotely sounded like do so
