@PairofMittens No this was Korovua eco resort in Fiji very near kuata about 20 min on the boat that picks you up and takes you to your next island. I did go to kuata aswell and it was a very beautiful island and very friendy staff. and awesome activities!
@watsupmmmmm That's the one! I checked through my travelling photos and realised I said the wrong one - I went to both aswell back in 2009 :) I recognised the crossroad walkway bit. Just a couple questions about the camera as I am looking to purchase one next month.
A) What is the camera like in low light conditions, either photos or videos.
B) As an owner of this camera for a little while now, is there anything about this camera that you don't like?
@PairofMittens Haha awesome! yer its a fantastic spot that one would love to go back again at some point! :P ok to answer both questions with one answer the only downfall is just the low light conditions. for pictures its is alright because of the flash but for video its not to good a bit grainy and dark. But what i do for low light movies i just attach a torch a high beam one and that seem to help and make it look like any high quaity camera! But everything else is perfect! Bargain camera!
@alexi101011 Rendered on Sony Vegas Pro 10. This is my rendering settings. >> Save as type: Windows Media Video V11. Template: 6.4 Mbps HD 1080-24p video and then on the left press ''Custom'' near the ''Save'' button. Audio: Mode: CBR > Format: Windows media Audio 9.2 > Attributes: 192 kphs, 48 khz stereo (A/V) CBR. Now press Video options: Mode: CBR > Format: windows media video 9. > Image Size: High Defintion (1440x1080) > Pixel Aspect Ratio: 1.333 (HD 1080) > Frame Rate: 23.976 (IVTC film) .
@watsupmmmmm Follow on: Seconds Per key frame: 5 > Video Smoothness: 100 (Sharpest) Then Press Bit Rate: Internet/Lan. Skip the Index/Summary stuff and go to Project button: Video Rendering Quality: Best > Press OK. And press Save and your done! :) hopefully those settings will help you as they have helped me! :) Have fun :)
Hiya watsupmmmmm! I'm also contemplating getting the Fz100. I like the last part of the greenery. What did you do to focus on the leaves while blurring out the background? Thanks! :D
@WhiteAmaryllis Yes Definatly get this camera! :) Very easy to focus on things with this camera. During making a film I had it on the artistic mode and went to custom and made my own natural colors up but you dont have to theres lot of choices to choose from. From there start filming from a far distant zoom up on a leaf or branch and hold down the shoot button to focus on what you want and it automatically blurs the background easy! :P i reccomend making vids in artistic mode rather than movie.
@watsupmmmmm Wow, this is amazing. I'm trying to decide between this one and Fujifilm Finepix HS10, the HS10 is great under dark conditions - dark areas are pitch black. But what do you mean by "grainy"? Check out the "FZ100 Night Video" to the right, that's not grainy at all!
@NightRid3rs77 Thanks mate! :) yer man defiantly worth what i paid for it I'm still learning so you can probably get better quality but its a great all rounder :) put some vid's up if you get it :)
For the last bit of the film (the leaves/tree bits) it was shot through my window and zoomed in as far as it can go. so if it wasn't shot through the window and zoomed in at its fullest it can come out alot sharper and brighter. :)
is there any settings for manual iso etc on this camera? :)
