I think you should pick the brains of people with ears you can pull. Adam Savage, Chris Hardwick, both of them I bet have good ideas for how to tackle the kinds of time management and too many exciting tasks - both of them are multi-talented, full of exciting ideas and projects, but short on time. I mean, let's say you end up juggling four projects and a ball gets dropped. You've still got three projects that you can juggle, and trust me, I'd much rather see three out of four projects than see all of them fall apart.

Molly, welcome to the exact reason the NWYTG videos still aren't done. As well as many, many other videos, projects and such. It's very hard to pick up the balls again once you've fucked up at the juggling act. Especially if you keep adding new balls even before you've picked up the ones on the floor. Which, I've noticed, many of us tend to do.
Molly, I absolutely understand what you're saying. This is how I feel about projects irl. I don't really know what to say; you just articulated all the most important things that I feel about my own failure. I hope it works for you, but more than that, I cannot wait to see you succeed. Molly. As someone who is a part of several of your balls (*snerk*) I will put it out there that we would just be happy to have you back. You don't need a "good" reason for why you have been gone, even though you HAVE several. Don't believe me? You are a college student who regularly performs live shows, learns silly skits (for entertaining PAX) and takes the time to try-out new projects to see what works, eat and sleep and occasionally post YouTube videos, and probably have a life in there, too.
I would reverberate the message that is coming from some people that if there are any balls that aren't particularly you-specific (sing-along club, for example); feel free to throw them at your camera and There will be innummerable waiting hands to juggle them for you.
Also I'm pretty sure Bill watches doctor who, as he's written one and performed two songs about it.
also: remember why brain crack is addictive and harmful. Sing-along club may never be spectacular, but it doesn't have to be.
your real fans won't worry about failed projects if you're up front about them. being silent about it may be easier, but it's probably the worst thing you could do. just be honest like you did with this video, and people will understand. life is busy, especially for someone in your position. we understand.

It's weird when you stumble on a new person on youtube and they turn out to have 27k subscribers. I guess youtube isn't as small as we often make out.
maybe you need to start doing things for yourself instead of for all of us, and let the love flow unconditionally regardless of your successes and failures.

I think this was a good way to get back on the horse.
I get the same way about projects, waiting so long just to deliver the same product that I would have delivered months ago, but feeling like since I waited so long the product SHOULD be much better.
The thing is though, it's just a matter of doing it, I think Craig said it in a video, he attributes some of his success to the fact that even if it's not the best he could do, or he isn't fully happy with it, he produces it anyway.
@themefund (part 2) I think that the big projects that take too damn long to finish are like that too. If we simply finish them and do what we think is our best, no matter how long it takes, then screw the expectations, really.
It's tough to break out of that cycle though, and I'm thankful that you've taken that first step.
And you need remember that you should only continue this venture as long as it's fun. I mean, we went out of the way to by your CD. Thats a lot more work accomplished than what a lot of other people who claim to be 'musicians' can say. Just keep up the good work and remember to have the ability to smile while doing it!
Molly it's wonderful to see you again on the Tube! Believe me that everyone has trouble with keeping all the balls in the air. Please don't ever think that we would turn on you and abandon you into obscurity. I bought your CD about a year ago and I have listened to it several times a week for 52 weeks and I am still amazed at how wonderful your songs are. So even if you took a half a year off from vlogrelay and other projects, know that your fanbase is still out here loving you.

Molly. As someone who is a part of several of your balls (*snerk*) I will put it out there that we would just be happy to have you back. You don't need a "good" reason for why you have been gone, even though you HAVE several. Don't believe me? You are a college student who regularly performs live shows, learns silly skits (for entertaining PAX) and takes the time to try-out new projects to see what works, eat and sleep and occasionally post YouTube videos, and probably have a life in there, too.

I would reverberate the message that is coming from some people that if there are any balls that aren't particularly you-specific (sing-along club, for example); feel free to throw them at your camera and There will be innummerable waiting hands to juggle them for you.
Also I'm pretty sure Bill watches doctor who, as he's written one and performed two songs about it.
also: remember why brain crack is addictive and harmful. Sing-along club may never be spectacular, but it doesn't have to be.

your real fans won't worry about failed projects if you're up front about them. being silent about it may be easier, but it's probably the worst thing you could do. just be honest like you did with this video, and people will understand. life is busy, especially for someone in your position. we understand.
it would be good to put up something like this on your main channel, since i'm sure there are a lot of people [the 20k that aren't subbed to vlogrelay] that are wondering where you are.

I think this was a good way to get back on the horse.
I get the same way about projects, waiting so long just to deliver the same product that I would have delivered months ago, but feeling like since I waited so long the product SHOULD be much better.
The thing is though, it's just a matter of doing it, I think Craig said it in a video, he attributes some of his success to the fact that even if it's not the best he could do, or he isn't fully happy with it, he produces it anyway.

@themefund (part 2) I think that the big projects that take too damn long to finish are like that too. If we simply finish them and do what we think is our best, no matter how long it takes, then screw the expectations, really.
It's tough to break out of that cycle though, and I'm thankful that you've taken that first step.

And you need remember that you should only continue this venture as long as it's fun. I mean, we went out of the way to by your CD. Thats a lot more work accomplished than what a lot of other people who claim to be 'musicians' can say. Just keep up the good work and remember to have the ability to smile while doing it!

Molly it's wonderful to see you again on the Tube! Believe me that everyone has trouble with keeping all the balls in the air. Please don't ever think that we would turn on you and abandon you into obscurity. I bought your CD about a year ago and I have listened to it several times a week for 52 weeks and I am still amazed at how wonderful your songs are. So even if you took a half a year off from vlogrelay and other projects, know that your fanbase is still out here loving you.

Molly! There is so much happening everywhere, I think the greater YouTube community will understand the ball juggling problem. YouTubers can't be expected to put their lives on hold to churn out videos, and finish every single thing they start.. other things come up, and it's completely fine. :)

Molly, can I say something to you? I'll just assume that's a yes and say it.
I love you dearly. Well, as much as I can love someone I've never met. I think a lot of your fans feel that way, and I think a lot of us really do understand how easy it is to get discouraged when projects fall to the side and things get dropped or ignored and how difficult it is to go back to them.
