This girl sucks. She's is going throught the motions but she isn't enjoying the music. That's what is wrong with the video. Neither of the two are having any fun. That is the thing that you must do with music. If you have no fun with playing an instrument what is the point in playing?
I am one of the few people, who agree with you. It's sad to see a girl, who plays on an instrument, but has no idea that is going on. Moving her arm up and down without any thoughts. As a music teacher I really want to see what is going on on her lessons...
I guess young students of yours only play Marry had a little lamb then? That might be the only music young kids really understand. As for other teachers, I bet they're OK to have kids exposed to beautiful classical music even if they didn't understand it at first. The kids might just love it anyway!
She's six. What do expect from a six year old? Even adults struggle with implementing emotion while they play. The only thing that matters is that she loves what she's doing. Did you even look at her other videos? She's just 13 now, and she has been composing for years already. Now tell us she doesn't understand what she's doing.
That was some sad credibility, it's not the fact that you are a music teacher that matters, but as a fellow lover of music, you should be mature enough not to degrade a beautiful performance from any amount of young talent.
Shouldn't you encourage said talent? Harboring malicious feelings, and particularly making them known, is not the most intelligent way to present yourself.
Also. in my opinion, it's the nature of classical music to enrapture any musician, no matter the age. Therefore I doubt the existence of a real life approximation of your "robotic musician".
Who are you to judge? Her facial expression? There is a plethora of reasons she may nto express herself well, perhaps because that's her facial structure. Do you feel completely at ease with your personality and maturity, to denounce others as emotionless? or even "unaware of what's going on"

i'm 10 and i'm grade 7 on the piano and I reallyyyyyyyyyy want to play the violin .thought I will never be able to play as well as her.
