  • Who's playing the alternately panned chords at 3:48? Blistering rendition, though.

  • Quem souber se alguem souber onde tem o DVD desse show me de um toque

  • Back in '72, when I was listening to Tarkus, my dad (old school...fantastic man, but one of his generation only) said to me, "Jeez, when you're 35, you'll look back at this nonsense and laugh.

I'm only laughing at my dear ol' Pop (but only for that one comment!!!). All the love for the man, but he didn't understand musical talent.

Long live Keith Emerson and his music.

  • Just as good if not, better than any ELP version. Lake lost his voice over a decade ago

  • This was a great rendition!!! Go Keith!!! The band is pretty bad ass too!!

  • This is very good considering the condition his hands are in.

His piano sounds like it has very little dynamic response though (every note sounds with the same velocity), and I would guess that is on purpose so that he doesn't have to hammer it out like he used to.

  • Irrational I know, I'm never comfortable with left-handed drummers.

  • This version of `bitches crystal' really kicks arse!!!

  • This is soo good. !! Keith realy is the master.

  • Amazing how Keith can still play despite his crippled hand, I noticed how he curls his fingers under while playing, that's gotta be hard on the knuckles.

  • They did some small club dates in Hollywood a while back and it just freakin rocked! Ronnie Montrose was there as was Glen Hughes.

  • Wow! I knew Emerson did a track on Marc's first amlbum, but I didn't know they did THIS! AWESOME!!!

  • This SWINGS !! I've been an ELP fan since 1970, but this tops ELPs version. Powerful stuff.

  • These guys are good ......

  • Listen to all Mark Bonilla's other stuff. This guy can keep up with Emerson!!! Someone please explain to me why we have Justin Timberlake getting huge& bad & these guys getting better but only us Informed knowing about their greatness. Silly world we live in!

  • Attention long time ELP fans: BUY KEITH AND MARC'S NEW ALBUM!

    YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

  • You're absolutely right! It's leaps and bounds better than ELP's 90's stuff. It's really the album that Love Beach should have been. It hits the ELP spot like nothing else can.

  • Good version! I saw KE earlier in the decade (different lead singer/guitarist) and they were great. Saw ELP in the early 90's, and the energy level was about as low as can be. Much as I love ELP, Keith seems to be having a much better time with his own band than ELP the last two times they've toured.

  • Ho avuto l'onore nell'estate del 2006 di vederlo dal vivo a Palermo!Un mito, icona di un rock che ormai non c'è più.Probabilmente il tastierista più bravo in circolazione!!!!!

  • The best parts is 1:32-2:00. Greg Lake screamed the lyrics at the top of his lungs on the Tarkus album, and it was virtually impossible to decipher them. Thankfully, in 1996, the lyrics were available through the internet!

  • I read a book about ELP. Keith said when they were auditioning drummers they jammed with Mitch Mitchell. Mitch then said he thought maybe Jimi might be interested in joining the band. They were thinking of calling it HELP. (the H is for Hendrix; follow along kids). I guess it would have sounded similar to this... except with more wah wah guitar.

  • And now Emerson is playing with another left handed American guitarist. Full circle?

  • A left handed drummer as well!

  • I've been an ELPer since 1970 and love this version. Great vocals by Bonilla, great energy overall. Do more!! Come to Kalamazoo!!

  • Good voc's by Bonilla, some cool guitar too.. At the very end of the song,(@ 4:21) the last short guitar lick almost sounded like a sax..lol

    Good video

  • I like the power that is coming out of Keith at the chorus',and I wish if ELP does this again, together, that they would do it with that sound, nd not leave out the repeat of the chorus, like they did when they did it!

  • yesy

  • ELP is better... reunion!!!

  • Isnt it great to hear it played in time.!!!!

  • Indeed! I was just thinking - Emerson must be delighted to finally play with a STEADY drummer. Palmer was a rollercoaster.

  • Greg, Greg, and again Greg, forever King Greg in a Crimson Lake.

  • Christ, you guys do it better than ELP!

  • Thanks very much for posting this clip.Brilliant.!!.

  • EXCELLENT!!!

Always wanted to see ELP play this.

Walking in late to the ELP/Deep Purple show in Ontario I just heard it end as I walked in.

Seeing the Keith Emerson Band hammer it out is GREAT.

  • This is great, but it makes me sad to read of all these classical vein keyboard players compared to Keith, with no mention of John Lord, sad indeed.

  • The guitarist/singer sounds better, singing these tunes, than Greg Lake does today.

  • That's because Lake has smoked WAY too many cigarettes. I agree.

  • Thee most magnificent tune of all time. I said it 30 years ago. I'm saying it again today. Keith's band does a brilliant job of covering this.

  • Keith is still a GOD and will always be. THIS ROCKS!!!

  • Please do not practice pagan idolitry! Keith is an excellent musician. I can assure you that Keith did have formal training on the classical side of the fence. Rick Wakeman or Patrick Moraz just as good!

  • I can assure you my friend that my intention was not to make an illogical comparison of Keith to "God" as a savior or almighty, only in the realm of music. I also concur that Wakeman and Moraz are phenomenal as well. However, you forgot to mention Tony Banks, who's use of the Mellotron and structures put him up at the top as well!

  • There are so many great musicians out there that we have not had the opportunity to hear. Hungary is a good place to listen to musicians as that is the birthplace of "Gypsy"

music. You will find some "Gypsy" in every great composers music. May I suggest the Hungarian Rhapsodies by Franz List! In the old days of classical concerto's the Cadenza was expected to be completely improvised by the performing musician. Pagannani was a master at this on the violin.

  • Bonilla's voice...GREAT!!! All the way around this is ace. And for those who think we've heard the last of anything new and really progressive from Emo, think again. Stay tuned...

  • So, when was this recorded? Does anyone know what Marc is up to these days? (Or for that matter, the last 15 years? Besides this and the other cool vid with the drummer)

  • wow mark is a great guitar player and singer Nice rock feel of A Classic ELP Gem,KEITH YUR THE BEST ,Mark looks like IAN PAICE A little there,Saw em in nyc BBKINGS 06 f..... Great

  • ELP was my favorite band as a kid, soit's such a treat to see one of my favorite guitarists up there with Keith (damn Marc sounds so much like Greg Lake). Real Bonilla fans will know the Keith did the piano for the first musical track of Marc's "EE Ticket" album. I love musical genius which, sadly has had little to do with the music business for decades.

  • Unbelievably executed. I am grateful to the band and all of their hard work to pull this off and wake up my hibernating progressive rock spirit!!!

    ROCK ON KEITH EMERSON!!!

  • It was a great concert, Keith was really in a good form! (And he was even better three days later at his second concert in Hungary:) Thanks for posting, can't wait to see more parts of this! :D
