Honestly, "hey, you, I wanna be your boyfriend" is pretty vague. Stealing a melody is more blatant or an unusual group of lyrics, but this pretty generic. Given how this sounds, it's safe to say Avril wrote her song and could've written it if this song never existed. And I'm not of fan of anyone in the situation, it's just what I think.
