I believe it. I have an rx8 and when you're driving it fast it seems much slower than your are really going. I catch myself doing around 130 all the time thinking I'm only going about 90-95 max. In that car you really have to watch how fast you are going because it's so hard to tell just by eye.

The engine in RX-8 is more to the middle so that means a way better weight distribution, the engine rev about 9.000 per minute, and handling was done with Japanese racing bloke. RX-8 isnt a super car, its sports car. Quite practical, but quite thirsty. But that engine is awesome.
