It's definitely tough to sing and play this song.. Good job though, you have one of the better attempts that I've seen. Especially that overdrive, it really kicks the sound up a notch.
Nice job man! JM songs aren't necessarily the easiest out there lol. You know, JM said in an interview that even he can have trouble doing Hearbreak Warfare live because it's difficult to play and sing the song.
damn i didn't know an adrenanlinn was used in this...thought i could do with just a delay pedal.. yet again john does another song that's too expensive for me
Mayer admits that he's a huge gear head. I saw a vid on here of him recording In Repair. You should've seen all of his pedals. Ridiculous! I'll check the exact effect on the AD3 and let you know if it's possible to achieve it for minimal cost.
The main effect is the Roger Lin Adrenalinn III. It's the key to the overall sound.
It's preset- 82 drumbeat- 28 or 26 (really can't remember off hand)
tempo- 97
Most of the covers i've seen they've left off that bit of dirt/overdrive to complete the sound. I ran the Lovepedal Kanji Eternity after the Adrenalinn.
it all has to do with the roger linn adrenalinn III man. That's pretty much how i get the drums and the tone. And i used a Lovepedal Kanji Eternity OD for a little grit.
Great job man! I like the way you sing this song. You have the soft vocal tone that John uses, which I've had trouble finding on YouTube. Nice guitar work as well. If I had to give any suggestions, I'd tone down the guitar a tad as it overpowered your voice at times. Keep up the good work though. =)
It's pretty good man. Keep it up.

It's settings were:
level- 10:00
glass(treble)- 12:30
overdrive- 11:00
Hope this helps!

Why are you playing a left-handed guitar, right-handed?
Anyways, good cover.

It's actually a replica of SRV's "Red." It had a rt. handed body that he had a left handed neck put on.

Looks like an awesome guitar
