@bunnyrock1 werent most drum tracks in the 80's done on a drum machine ? Thats what defined the 80's sound, it was the drum machine decade with yer Roland 808, 909s, Linn Drums, Yamaha with their RX range, Either that or sampled drums on those big 80's sampling beasts the Emulator or Fairlight. Scritti Politti were seriously good producers too. I read somewhere that they ploughed all their money back into their studio, and produced loads of other peoples tracks too. I could be wrong.
@bunnyrock1: I wouldn´t be too certain with your theory about this being done all with drum machines - the 80s had many perfect drummers - and it can also be a mixed thing of real dummer & drum machines. And why not ? As long as we get such a charming result !
