@HOTcoldplayALERT The kissing ban was that Nuke would kiss but offscreen so we didn't get to see it. There's a picture of the kiss at the farm before the fishing accident but no video of it. It started after the second kiss and lasted until March or April of 2008. After that they were aloud to kiss anytime. Actually sometimes 2 or 3 times in one episode (i read that couples usually only do that if it's during a sex scene but Nuke did it without sex).
CBS cares. OKAY, not really when they're casting a soap opera with a gay couple in it and have kissing bans for 200+ episodes. I call that Crime. Or a better word for it : Stupidity. At least CBS "cared" enough to get a clue. And for that, we thank you. :)

Unfortunately, hate crimes is something that the GLBT community have had to deal with. Some of us have lost jobs, while others have been called names and others attacked and killed. All because of who we love. ATWT is doing the right thing by showing the issues that a gay couple will go through in real life. We all love Luke and Noah and hate to see horrible things happen to them. Maybe by seeing this injustice happen to them on ATWT, there will be more people standing up against the hatred.
To me I don't see the end part as Political statment, I don't see Van or Jake or ATWT stating that as a political statment, it seemed more of an "exceptens of all" kinda thing, and personally I think that using today issues no matter what it maybe, in a show that is US known is a good think, I don't think they are saying like "believe us or your wrong" more see what hurt can bring you kinda thing...
Attraction sucks. You have ameera being all jealous of noah and luke and like, wanting noah for herself and then you have luke being all jealous of ameera and getting iffed to a certain extent at noah for how protective and stuff he is of her and I'm left thinking, maybe every character on this show should just be Bi.

I cannot believe that they went and turned the story into a political stunt. It really is sad. I am a conservative, but I have been addicted to this show and think Luke is amazing, and so is their love! The thing at the end just disgused me though. It didn't even relate to the plot!

ok..so out of topic...but i was reading through Dusty's profile in wiki and not only it says he returns but also has a whole story in the future. You know 2011 he meets a girl who is half-sister to Noah and blah,blah,blah and then in 2016 she gives birth and dies and kid is adopted by Luke and Noah. So wtf! How is that possible. Can somebody please explain what does this mean and how is it possible?

I really like that they did the 'CBS Cares' thing at the end. It's important to spread the message of love, even when it's such a basic and normal thing. It's great this show is having such a positive influence.

Anyway, I love the two being together because they are so cute together. Seriously, even if the SOAP OPERA background is very corny often, the baseline always hits home. Respect, kindness, open-mindedness, sincerity-they're all apart of what Luke and Noah's story strive for.

Yes, but I was saying that it shouldn't be tranferred to a "hate-crime" just because they're gay. All bashings, no matter what reason, should be hate-crimes, not just against these so called "minority groups". I think that they're saying that people of different ethnicity, and GLBT(gay lesbian bisexual or transgendered) people are inferior to the straight caucasion population.
Actually, almost half the of the world's population is lesbian, gay, biseuxual, or transgendered. So it's not really a "minority" at all. And some (not all) people have it stored in their brains that "minority groups" are inferior to the majority groups. If there's less GLBT people than straight people, they should be treated any differently just because there's less of them.
I don't know how many GLTB people r it the world, and I suppose that the percentage can vary from a statistic to another.
btw, what I mean by saying that they're fewer is that this is a difference and it's correct that the law deals with it.
more over, the reasons behind a "hate-crime" are different from the ones behind others, and this means that u should fight to prevent them in different ways. Maybe, in this case education has a greater role, than if they simply want to steal their wallets..

And in other ATWT news that may affect Luke and Noah depending on how the show handles things, Martha Byrne (Lily, Luke's mom), unable to come to terms with the show regarding her new contract (apparently the issue was not money, but that the actress asked for story approval and the show said no), is leaving the show and will be exit sometime in April. Rumor has it she'll be recast, but there are other rumors that the character will be killed off.
If Lily is killed off, Luke will be devastated, and the trauma might keep Luke and Noah at a distance. :( I really don't want that to happen -- can't the Snyders have some happiness for once?
Its nice to have some kind of problem come between lovers - well thats why its a SOAP! I only feel that they make the relationship seem so unreal. Guys will always be guys > why hasn't one jumped the other yet moreover since they know each likes one another => It defies logic. So writers u need to make them get really close and attached and then cause a rift . Thats what makes soaps so much fun!!
I actually really like this story. And even if it sucks, at least if they have something big going on like this, they'll actually BE in the show.

I really like that they did the 'CBS Cares' thing at the end. It's important to spread the message of love, even when it's such a basic and normal thing. It's great this show is having such a positive influence.

Anyway, I love the two being together because they are so cute together. Seriously, even if the SOAP OPERA background is very corny often, the baseline always hits home. Respect, kindness, open-mindedness, sincerity-they're all apart of what Luke and Noah's story strive for.
Besides, the two are HAAATTT!!!

That PSA at the end was good and everything, but it seemed to be labeling what happened as a hate-crime against gays. Those two guys didn't realize Nuke was gay until after they assaulted them.
Hate-crime laws are stupid anyways. It makes the lives of minorities seem greater than majorities. As if someone should be punished differently depending on the person they assault. I'm gay. So don't say I'm being some sort of bigot, or something.

beating someone for being gay or black, just who they are, is like two crimes, and i think they should be treted that way

It's like, if a straight white male beats up another straight white male, it's not a hate crime, but if one of them happens to be gay, or of another ethnicity, they become a "minority" and it's a "hate-crime". Yes, but I was saying that it shouldn't be tranferred to a "hate-crime" just because they're gay. All bashings, no matter what reason, should be hate-crimes, not just against these so called "minority groups". I think that they're saying that people of different ethnicity, and GLBT(gay lesbian bisexual or transgendered) people are inferior to the straight caucasion population.

Actually, almost half the of the world's population is lesbian, gay, biseuxual, or transgendered. So it's not really a "minority" at all. And some (not all) people have it stored in their brains that "minority groups" are inferior to the majority groups. If there's less GLBT people than straight people, they should be treated any differently just because there's less of them.

I don't know how many GLTB people r it the world, and I suppose that the percentage can vary from a statistic to another.
btw, what I mean by saying that they're fewer is that this is a difference and it's correct that the law deals with it.
more over, the reasons behind a "hate-crime" are different from the ones behind others, and this means that u should fight to prevent them in different ways. Maybe, in this case education has a greater role, than if they simply want to steal their wallets..

All I'm saying is that no matter who you are, if you get attacked, it should all be dealt with in the same manor. True, there may be minority groups as far as society goes, but in the law, everybody should be equal.

is it just me, or is there something slightly off about that Amira girl? the acting style makes it so obvious what the characters are feeling and they show their feelings just by the way they look or where they look when they are talking ie, at the begining of the series when Luke kept on looking at Noah

And in other ATWT news that may affect Luke and Noah depending on how the show handles things, Martha Byrne (Lily, Luke's mom), unable to come to terms with the show regarding her new contract (apparently the issue was not money, but that the actress asked for story approval and the show said no), is leaving the show and will be exit sometime in April. Rumor has it she'll be recast, but there are other rumors that the character will be killed off.

Its nice to have some kind of problem come between lovers - well thats why its a SOAP! I only feel that they make the relationship seem so unreal. Guys will always be guys > why hasn't one jumped the other yet moreover since they know each likes one another => It defies logic. So writers u need to make them get really close and attached and then cause a rift . Thats what makes soaps so much fun!!

I actually really like this story. And even if it sucks, at least if they have something big going on like this, they'll actually BE in the show.
And also I kinda like Amira, although I don't know why. And I'm still not sure whether she's evil or not...and is it just me, or does she look like a little bit like Shiri Appleby (Liz from Roswell)?
