hey spike dey told me dat wen it cums 2 rolin on drums u have 2 rol more w/ the hand dat moves faster.4 exsamble..im right handed so i hit lets say on the snare 2 times than hit it 1 w/ my left nd so on.dan sum ppl say its beta single patern.i tryed al of them bt realy i jzt want 2 kno wich 1 is easyer to learn!

one thing, whoever told u the two and 1 thing is completeley wrong, if ur right hand is better work on your left, an amazing easy excersise i do on my drum pad, is four with the right hand four with the left, and repeat that like 5 times, then go to 8 with each hand, another 5 times, then 16 for 5 times, and then do a drum roll double the speed you were doing with one hand for two full measures, then repeat, it will work on speed and timing, hope this helped if not just tell me :)

When I 'ventured' out into the toms, I always hit the rims or collided sticks (I had very small toms which made it worse), but now my precision has gotten a lot better and I can hit them almost perfect.

If you have two, you may do these rolls like 8 on the snare, 4 on the 1st tom and 4 on the 2nd. If you have only one tom, you should play 8 on the snare and 8 on the tom. Of course you may do variations too. Hope that helped. :)

First off I think you should be doing an exercise for this. Nothing hard, just when you´re watching TV or on the bus or something, just somewhere you don´t have to use your hands and drum on your knees and thies. You´ll be drumming like this: every 8 beats with left there´s 4 with the right and you hit with the right on the 1,3,5 and 7 beat of the left hand left hand. Repeat and try doing this faster n faster. L:1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 L= Left R= Right. Hope it helps :)

If this doesn´t work it´s like this on the 1 L beat there´s a R beat, on the 2 L beat there´s not a R beat, on the 3 L beat there´s an R beat. basicly if it´s no there´s not a R beat. 1-yeas 2-no 3-yes 4-no 5-yes 6-no 7-yes 8-no Really hope this helps, just try to get this pattern faster and faster and you can also try the 12 L beats to 4 R beats or 3L to 1R

does the position of the drums change the sound or is it just the way you hit it cause ive noticed if you take off the snare and put it up straight it makes a slight difference and I know that the drums can be positioned any way comfotable but does it matter?
