  • When he held up his arm I expected him to say "My manly hairy hand."

  • The part at the end when Hamlet says "the readiness is all" makes me want to yell "noo David don't!"

  • Shakespeare: Ultimate Purveyor of Dick Jokes

  • All the knowledge and foresight of his uncle's murderous intentions, the genius intellect that senses something is amiss, the resigned knowledge that he isn't going to walk away from this one... And he still takes the time to be facetious and piss off a dickhead servant. Hell yes.

  • The guy in the black suit is like the mouth of Sauron

  • I love the last few seconds. "The readiness is all."

  • The broken mirrors are so beautiful...

  • OH MY GOD HE'S WEARING SHOES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • haha they made david say "make love" lol.... pleaz??

  • I haven't seen the rest of this, but I know the story of Hamlet...DON'T DAVID!!

  • Gotta love the "Yours, yours..." at 4:13. Really ticking off poor Osric there, but David Tennant as Hamlet just does it so well!

  • It always amazes me how actors who know how to do Shakespeare can make the dialogue seem flat out NATURAL.

  • Horatio looks like Tom Hanks.

  • what call you the carriages?

  • In my opinion, David Tennant is Britain's version of Jim Carrey, I mean he can make any face and do anything with his voice.

  • @SuperMEntertainment Oooo...that was bad. except jim carrey is far from...well, a fangirl sex symbol

  • @MeesterCrumpet What, I was just making a comparison of the two as actors, nothing wrong with that, unless I broke some unwritten rule that says I cant.

  • "He'd comply with his mother's dug before he sucked" and "There's a special augury in the fall of a sparrow." Two favorite lines, completely different in nature, and within breaths of each other.

  • damn, he's skinny

  • The suit guy reminds me of the clone of Inspector Gadget.... :D

  • lol C: you know what i mean 3:16 carriages C:

  • Oh, David... I ah, I mean Hamlet, has shose on again, so he is deffenetly NOT crazy anymore! lol

  • am i the only one who loves the way he says "well"?

this is a fantastic version of hamlet. thank you for putting it here!

  • I need to crack one of my mirrors like that...

  • wow i nthe biginning of the scene he reminded me of all the girly reasons im in love with him.by the end of it it reminded me of why i think hes so talented

  • That guy has the most amazing smile =D

  • IS Osric the british cousin of the Intern on 30 Rock?

  • I burst out laughing when Osric makes that camp hand gesture when he says"Three of the carriages, in faith, are very dear to fancy". Best Osric ever.

  • Interesting that this Osric (as compared to Robin Williams' Osric in Ken Branagh's Hamlet) actually picks up on the fact that Hamlet's messing with him.

  • Goodness. What a toothy smile.

  • Osric's teeth scare me. o_o

  • Osric reminds me of a waiter at a pretentious posh restaurant describing the over-burdened specials.

  • My favorite Hamlet speech - and Tennant owned it. Love this.

  • it's soo weird watching hamlet with actors wearing modern clothes. I can never get past that bit. Im so used to costume dramas.

  • the guy in the black suit made me go :D a couple of times because he smiled so largely xD

  • Oh wow. CC got about non of the dialogue correct hah..

  • Something I noticed: Compare Hamlet's reflection in this scene, in the same mirror, if I'm not mistaken, as the one from when Ophelia was going mad, to that same scene. His reflection is less splintered than ether Ophelia's or his mother's. Symbolicy, this would imply that this version portrays Hamlet as, in fact, less fractured than ether woman.

  • Heh there's the Doctor again! "Well"

  • 3:52 "Well" :D Doctor <3

  • He's wearing shoes now... Indoors... Less mad?

  • Thanks for uploading this. Although I think that Tennant is wonderful throughout, his Hamlet *really* reminds me of the Doctor in this scene...much more so here than in the production's more manic moments. There's the same sense of gravity and resolve, which is interesting between two such different characters.

  • I'd watch David Tennant read the phone book (=

  • David looks so good in jeans! There's just to many awesome things to say about this man!

  • This Osric scene makes me insanely happy. That guy perfectly plays "I don't know whether I more want to die of mortification or strangle Hamlet". The interplay of these three characters made me laugh out loud. A lot. I don't think I've ever seen an Osric scene this good! This production just gets so many scenes exactly right!!

  • OMG david tennant= I LOVE HIM I LOVE HIM I LOVE HIM I LOVE HIM I LOVE HIM I LOVE HIM I LOVE HIM!!!!!!!!! :-D

  • @TARDISize UNDERSTATEMENT!!!

  • I think I have done a very good job till now of not gushing over David Tennant, but since it's nearly over let me just say this on the subject: <3 !!!

  • @MsWholigan go on GUSH :D its a miracle i've made it this long without do so LOL

  • @MsWholigan I failed in that respect I gushed...and i am still gushing squee...so glad that I get to watch this.

  • Anyone else get the sense of "insurance salesman"with the guy in the black suit at the start?

  • @konokitsune LOL XXX

  • @konokitsune Lol, Osric. Yes, I see what you mean.

  • @konokitsune Worse, I think it was "used car salesman". I wanted to poke him with Laertes rapier myself.

  • brillant thx so much for uploading this
