  • Can you explain to me what those symbols with the measurements mean? I kind of have a test on that and I need as much knowledge as I can

  • @JCVDFan1 - Click here: tinyurl*com/2ev5ob5 (.com)

Most of the weld symbols have a butt weld along with the weld made on top of it. The tabletop welds measured 0.125 x 0.375, 3" long with a gap of 18.5 between them. The next three symbols were a combination of butt welds (0.25 sq) with fillets on top (0.25 x 0.25). The ones on the end of the legs were fillet welds measuring 0.125 x 0.25, welded all around.

I'm not sure if the symbols were perfect but you can always check with google!

  • with the design work and the speed you weld, was there any profit in the job?

  • no profit here...this table was made to match the existing ones used in a large robotics workcell (partially shown at the end). It was welded together by a student in a project class that semester, if I recall he worked on it off-and-on for about two weeks. Cost around $500 in materials.

  • What is that program you had used Plz repond

  • that was made with the program Autodesk Inventor. It's not required for a reasonably straightforward weldment like this, but the 3D model was used in a larger recreation of the workcell being installed.
