  • Excellent cover. The jayhawks actually improve the song imho.

  • This whole album was great for me because not only did I love it myself, but this cover allowed my mom to get into it. We would hang out at home when I was a teenager and listen to the whole thing from start to finish together, all just because she recognized this song (from GFRR) and felt like it made it accessible for her. (The rest of the album too, I mean.) Good memories. Thanks for posting this! :)

  • I love Jayhaws' version of this song better than the original by G.F.R.R.

  • do you know its sharleen spiteri from texas doing the backing vocals! such a sweet voice

  • Followed them since the start, should be as big as the band was

  • can any 1 say the beatles but still awesome

  • @stevenmcg69 Actually it's a Grand Funk cover. But you're right, any band after the Beatles is just trying to copy them. Why do they even try?

  • I really liked this band..and still do..They have a great sound

  • Great tune.

  • I grew up in Grand Funk territory (Flint, Mi.) with this song. Always a secret favorite of mine. This is a fantastic cover. Simply played nothing fancy and great harmonies. Thanks for posting it.

  • You can hear Olson's from Minnesota when he sings the word "bad". Why have all our good bands broken up?

  • starbucks just played it in everett, wa

  • A Grand Funk Railroad cover. probably impossible to do a bad cover of this. Pure Americana. some sort of White Soul thing going on that's hard to pin down here... compare with Box Tops, Arlo Guthrie..

  • This song has been running through my head for years and years. Loved it from the first time I heard it. Just heard it for the first time in decades on the radio and had to find it here. Thanks for posting it!

  • favorite song--thanks for putting this up :)

  • That's why I'm here ;-) glad that not everybody listens to today's crap xD

  • Heard it on the radio today in Portland OR and just had to find this classic to listen to again. Thanks so much.

  • See in France, you'll never hear this song on the radio... What can we do ? ;-)

  • is this sweet or what

    kick ass

  • Thank you! I had that song stuck in my head and had to hear it... :)

  • Bad time

  • what was the song?

  • i adore this song! it reminds me of my teenage days... it was out around 1995 , i think...

  • great song!

  • Gran cancion!! ?quien pensaria que es de Grand Funk Railroad?

  • trés bien je connaissais pas ce groupe,

  • Wow! I love this band. Never dissapointed. All there CD's are great. Even without Olson.

  • Heartbroken this band isn't around anymore!!

  • This is a fabulous version of the song. Far superior to Grand Funk!

  • Agreed.

  • @diffdrum1 you do not know music if you think jayhawks version is superior,,have you heard GRAND FUNKs or are you tone deaf,,,this is a nice cocktail lounge version but does not come close to the great GRAND FUNK

  • wheres the waiting for the sun vid from these guys? i've seen the cover madison square gardeners did. pretty good but would like to see and hear the original on here.
