Great memories from my teenage years. Following the Hot Knives around with the Haywards Heath Lads(Ricky Grayson, Paul & Jason Frost) . Good times we had, great music, good beer sessions and a nice bunch of lads we got to know. All the very best. Tucker
Basemullet, I used to play wth Mickey M years ago, where abouts in NZ are you, we are Wellington, still got the guitar, always after jams......... GTHK, Al
BLOODY HELL, WILL how are you doing ? Are you still drawing cartoons and shimmying up lamp posts.......... after 10 pintsof holstien.........remember.
@basemullet Hi mate, it's von Holsten now living in Spain, going back to the UK on 22nd April to see the Hotknives at the London International Ska Festival. Have a great 2011.
Yeah, it's me alright. we were so chuffed to be playing in London.we never thought that it would take-off the way it did back then. i'm in a band now (SQUID58), so check us out on Myspace or here on youtube if you want. The 'knives are still going today though iv'e not been in it for 4 years......Anyway, Keep on Skankin' i say...;-)
Freaking brilliant if it is you. As a rudie from long ago, I have to say you leading the knives was one of my favorite second wave bands. Everything that needed to be there was, just pure and simple pleasant ska, very addressable. Cheers, and thanks!
much appreciated. was a bit to young for this one. but had a mad nut ska phase during my earlier years (and got the tattoo) - and had the pleasure of seeing your last gig in this cuntry some years ago - likewise down in the brighton, at the brighton ska fest i believe with mark foggo and the riffs. Every bit as good if not improved by then! was a pleasure.

Wow - is it really you?!! What an honour!
But let me tell you that your voice always sounds nice - the beers doesn't matter! ;-)
You are the one and only voice of the Hotknives and I feel so sad that you left the band. Hope to see you with Squid58 in germany very soon!
Cheers!
