When watching this video remember Unionists were offered all of Ulster to rule but they surrendered 3 counties of ulster to the south as ulster had (and still has) a nationalist majority. The false state of NI is gerrymandered to suit a minority in ulster.
when the ulstermen fought at the battle of the somme they fought with the flag of 9 counties and these counties were taken away by england when these men returned. We never surrendered any counties get your facts right.
Unionists didnt protest against this, they knew it would be unstable with so many nationalists so they let them go without a fight. Carson opposed partition but he wanted Ireland to remain united and ruled by its neignbour. "we will not have home rule for ireland" Not very forward thinking is it? - its as backwards as you can get.
Your own people were ruling you, there were plenty of Irish representatives in Parliament.
You constantly fail to understand where we are coming from. A central part of the largest Empire the world had ever seen, or backwards into a state dominated by an oppressive clergy and superstition , as the south of Ireland undoubtedly was back then.
Why must you constantly use ridiculous marxist-style attack terms such as 'ur stuck in 1690 im afraid', in an attempt to close down rational debate?
An empire which opressed us, which forced our people all over the globe including liverpool, an empire which let us starve during the famine, an empire which refused us independence, an empire which we never once voted to be a part of. Who u trying to kid?

In fact home rule was backwards. The Empire and the Union were great vehicles for progress.
