Mayo Clinic Study Suggests Routine Prostate Size Evaluation Not As Effective in Cancer Screening

My dad is 73 and has prostate cancer, his doctor doesn`t want to operate on him, I guess because of the age factor.......are there any good treatments and how long will he live, until the cancer gets the best of him? PSA is pretty high.
