Gore is one of the most beloved songwriter of mine for my entire life. All the Deoeche Mode songs he composed have the meaningful and poetic lyrics. But my most beloved song is this song. Everytime I listen to it I cry because of the heartfelt lyrics. One freespirited person who secretly struggles to have someone who can understand him/her deeply. So true yet so sad.

This has been my favorite song by Depece Mode since I was in junior high when it was released... back in 1984. 26 years later, I am still listening to one of greatest bands out there. Those of us who were lucky enough to grow up in the 80's can honestly say we were given awesome musicians. (and yes, this is still my favorite song by DP!)

I had a song (Only You) in my wedding from another group he created, Yaz. This song though, has history and meaning. MTV was new. Being openly gay was a big deal. Talk shows would get big ratings when the subject was dicussed. This song was a sourse of strength to me in the 80's. And that Martin was a part of 3 huge bands in the 80's made me love him more. So much talent in one blond little body.

You are not too right! Martin Gore, Dave Gaham, Andrew Fletcher and Vince Clark, the formed Depeche Mode back in 1981. First studio album, Speak and Spell, is the only proof of Clark as part of DM. He quitted right after recording it and founded Erasure. Nonetheless, I am very sure you will know a song which is the symbol of the union of them all - "Just cant get enough".
