  • Wait a sec... Did Judge Sred 3 lose drive on one side at the end? I think they did, watch closely after Mute got in underneath Judge Shred 3.

  • Mute won it on style more than anything else. What a crazy robot, fun to watch really!

  • Look at how far Judge Shred had improved in Series 7 compared to the other wars. In Series 4 and 5 and maybe 6 I don't remember, Judge Shred would be knocked out in the first round but in Series 7, Judge Shred went all the way to the heat final. It isn't much of an improvement but an improvement none the less

  • Am I the only one that thinks Judge Shread should have won? They were far more aggresive, Mute just jumped around alot. I do like Mute but I must say, Judge Shread were the better robot.

  • @xC0RRUPT10N Thats not an excuse, Storm 2 put in a lot of time and effort and were the deserving robot to win, it doesn't matter if Typhoon 2 was more exciting

  • @xC0RRUPT10N I suppose not, but it's still rather unfair, especially since this wasn't the first scandal the producers have held (if you know the true story involving Mortis and Napalm in Series 2).

  • mute the mexican jumping bean

  • Aside from Judge Shred's wheel not working at the end there is a reason Mute won the fight. On the FRA forums, it says that Mute managed to get a lot of flips in with its rear flipper, but we only saw one of them on TV. The fight was 5-6 minutes long, and a lot of it was cut out in the editing, like a lot of other fights that went to a Judge decision. The attacks earned Mute a lot of aggression points, and apparently the Judges said that they won the decision by one point.

  • @TheLegacyofHitchcock That being the case, you'd think that they'd actually show more of those flips...that way it'd make it look closer, rather than the apparant cakewalk we're shown.

The way its been described here seems to remind me of Steg-O-Saw-Us's victory over Gravedigger in Series 3.

  • why do people say judgeshread 3 was imobilized? you have to stop 30 seconds. 20 seconds then the refbot counts you out.

  • @smellmyskunk2 It was spinning in circles from 1:44 to the cease at 2:20 which is more than 30 seconds

  • @ohargreaves oh wait, now that you point it out, i can see it. but still, refbot should have been there, so i still feel that mute should have lossed.

  • Damn! Wish mute got a chance to flip!

  • does Mute require two flips to right itself seeing that when it's upside-down, when it tries to self-right the first time, it does a full rotation in the air?

  • @animefin What they should have done is have a lower pressure setting for self righting.

  • Lmfao boing boing boing XD

  • Judge Sred was running on one wheel at the end, so mute should have won even without the judges decision.

  • Mute, the name doesn't quite match the style, am I the only one who thinks this? XD

    Gotta love that lidol robot?

  • i thought judge shred did better

  • People are saying this was a bad judges decision but Judge Shreds right wheel was out at the end. That counts as being immobilized.

  • That's what I eventually realised. I wonder if Mute's one thrust did something to it.

  • Hey, anyone who wants robotwars back should go on google and type in: 'BRING ROBOTWARS BACK'

select the first suggested site , which is a petiton, and sign it.

  • That was the worst judges decision in the history of Robot Wars. No one cares about Darke Destroyer vs T2, neither would have defeated Gravedigger anyway. This battle was more important.

So what if Judge Shred was slightly immobile? It doesnt counter that Judge Shred flipped Mute about 5 times compared to Mute's 1, which failed to even get Judge Shred over. Thats aggression, control and damage for Mute. Each of Mute's failed self-rights should cost pts for control. Load of bullshit

  • *against Mute

  • You could argue that Judge Shred's immobility at the end means that Mute wins on damage. Judge Shred would win on aggression and control but if Mute won on style and damage then Mute would win as damage carries the most weight. I'm not sure if that's why the judges chose Mute, but it's one possible reason why they did.

  • It does count....if you're immobilised, you're out. Otherwise, Hypno-Disc would have gotten ultimately a very cheap win over Nasty Warrior.

I think this is the Sir Chromalot/259 incident all over again. I think they decided, after the controversy those two decisions resulted in, they decided to pick one rule and STICK with it.

And yes, people DO care about Darke Destroyer vs T2. Besides, who says Judge Shred would have beaten Firestorm? They're both the same in the end.

  • @KillDozer123

That is not always the case. Judge Shred here is only immobilsed on one side. Remember In S5 Dominator 2 vs Hypno Disc, D2 was immobilised on one side for several minutes but it was not counted out. Therefore UK rules are ambiguous about the definition of "immobilize".

  • Actually, no.

Dominator 2 SHOULD have been counted out. Remember in Series 4, the Northern Annihilator, Stinger was eliminated after being immobilised on one side. Same thing in Series 6, when Bulldog Breed was also immobilised on one side and was counted out. Same goes for Major Tom, Sumpthing and don't forget Suicidal Tendencies losing in Series 4 after Wheely Big Cheese fell in the pit.

Dominator 2, I swear, was a fluke. Twice it happened and nothing.

  • @MultiBattleaxe

Unfortunately, it is the UK RW rules that damage carries the most weight in scoring. This also led to the decision of Typhoon 2's victory over Storm 2. In US battlebots, damage only carries 1/3 of the total weights and if that applies then Judge Shred and Storm2 will win with no doubt.

  • I digress. Lets check the score, roughly giving them a score out of 5 for each criteria, as it works. Judge Shred 3 Style - 3 (x1) = 3 Control - 4 (x2) = 8 Aggresssion - 5 (x3) = 15 Damage - 3 (x4) = 12 Mute Style - 5 (x1) = 5 Control - 1 (x2) = 2 Aggression - 2 (x3) = 6 Damage - 4 (x4) = 16 Last I checked, 38 was more than 29
  • Wow... ur own list... congrats... u lost...

  • @Dead25m gtfo fanboy

  • Actually, no.

Storm 2 was cheated out of winning Series 7 by the producers. Typhoon 2's spinner broke, AND its drive chain fell off, but the producers, who didn't want Storm 2 to win, took the chain away. The judges didn't notice, only saw the panel that fell off of Storm and gave Typhoon the victory.

Storm 2 was robbed, long story short.

  • @KillDozer123 oh boo hoo, no -one cares because rambots are boring

  • @metallyrics411 Yes, you are boring. -_-

By that logic, Mayhem is more interesting than Storm 2. Cygnus is more interesting that Storm 2. Fail.

Also fail is the fact that you say yet, but my comment has SIXTEEN likes. So, I shall say it again, yes, you are boring, so cry elsewhere.

  • @KillDozer123 no-one bloody cares about how many likes your comment has got, only you cos it makes you think you have friends

  • @metallyrics411 Ah, but since you haven't tried to counter my argument, mine is still valid, then. ^^

    Next time, think. Thank you.

  • @metallyrics411 Besides, you clearly don't understand how serious the whole Storm 2 scandal was. Here's my advice, check either their website, or the Robot Wars wikia page, with links to that same website.

  • @KillDozer123 I find that hard to believe. Why would the producers not want Storm 2 to win? And plus, where's your proof of this? I would think it would have been noticeable.

  • what we need is arena with 2 pit lowed down and mute in pit 1 and cassius 2 in pit 2 and see which one get out of the pit first.

  • to james036 i'ts flipper is strong enough so it possibly could. but then the spike on cassius 2 was said to project itself out of the pit and it failed. but mutes flipper possibly could

  • Do you think that if mute landed in the pit upside down, it would be able to get out again?

  • @james036 lol maybe hehehe :)

  • @james036

i remember cassius tryed doing that....and was very close to getting out

if the FF was more powerful then i recon cassius could have

as for mute..IF he had the flipper of gravity i reckon they could well have

  • @james036 possibly

  • thats a crap decision by the judges

  • Only 2 minutes of that battle was shown though.

And Mute may have won on damage as well as style with that flip on Judgeshred appearing to disrupt its motors on one side.

  • yeah, cause if you look after 1:49 judge shread has problems with 1 side till the end at 2:20. if i know the judges, they would call judgeshred to be imobile

  • have a look at 1:49 to 2:20. the right wheel isnt moving freely, meaning its beeen damaged, also that amount of time would be long enough for it to be considered imobolised

  • yay mute win!

  • Mute is awesome! . he could beat chaos 2 with a flipper like that. i wonder who would win if they fought. Judge shred 3 is way better than usual

  • I don't think so. Flippers like Mute's aren't as effective as flippers like Chaos 2's

  • i think that the Robot Wars criterea Damage, Agression, Control and Domination - i.e. which robot had control over the other one for the majority of the fight. I never really got why they added ''Style'' as a criterian as this proves it can hinder fighting rather than help. I think this would have turned the Grand Final of this series. Dunno what you guys think or weather you can be bothered reading this, but that is my 2 pence-worth.

  • Looked as though Judge Shred was only running on one wheel towards the end, but they surely should have won that.

  • next time just make a robot that has a fancy self right system and you will win . . . from the looks of the judging

  • Judge Shred should've won. I don't care if that was style, I would have counted all of those missed self-righing flips against Mute.

  • misses? not quite misses. Mute has a powerful enough flipper that it over rights itself. i'm not defending that it gave him style cuz it wasnt really a bonus for style. it should of hurt him because he did right himself regardless of his flipper being too powerful. but yeah Judge Shred should have won.

  • So would I. There's no control in that. And they only attacked Judge Shred once

  • judge shred was kinda immobilised on the end of the battle. That seems the only reason to me to give it to Mute

  • yeh true im sure judge shred deserved to win though.

  • Mute's flipper is far too powerful for the shape of the robot.

They need similar power to firestorm. They are far more effective despite having a much less pressurised flipper.

  • ROFL!!!!!! mute was hella flipping

  • What????? Mute should have won! >:(

  • *Judge shred should have won

  • Last time i saw this fight I though Judge Shred should have won. Now my decision hasn't changed a bit. I honestly think Mute is poo, How the hell did they win that?????

  • Probably because Mute was winning on style. Plus there was that good flip on Judge Shred 3 and the judge only seemed to have 1 wheel working. That's why I think Mute won anyway...

  • GTFO Youtube you stupid spammer, no one likes you. And this Miley trailer trash sucks ass, too. Accept it.

  • mute needed 2 improvements; a better flipper design so they could get under opponents more easily and a long extension at the back so that they wouldn't do a 360 instead of self-righting.

  • oh and I forgot to say this was a very unfair decision on judge shred. It was Robot Wars' last attempt to make the show a bit more entertaining to keep it alive. Didn't work though!

  • Pretty much like that little nonsense in the previous heat, concerning the netting of Bulldog Breed. That was completely moronic! It was obvious that the netting was never for entanglement purposes, and I'm sure many other robots before then have used something similar without any problems.

  • STORM 2? I have that video - have a look. no it didn't, and this resulted in a very boring fight!

  • Then how come Storm 2 ended up upside down? AND crashing topside on into the arena wall?

  • Mute had a really bad design, it could never get underneath a robot.

  • Nonsense, it got underneath several robots numerous times. Mr Nasty, Roobarb (remember the OOTA-Recovery) and even Storm 2.

  • And It flipped Dantomkia out of the areana in Robot Rumble.

  • at least mute lost to firestorm in the semi finals

  • Love Mute's somersaulting. Think that was what impressed the judges. Or perhaps it was a forgone conclusion, like the Grim Reaper vs Big Nipper fight.

  • Judge Shred did appear to be limping at the end, but COME ON!! This is Robot WARS, not Robot Jump-Around-In-Mid-Air-Looking-Absoulutly-Stupid! The judges should know that by now.

  • Doing somersaults isn't going to help you win. It'll only make you look good. Here's Judgeshread, a robot that the team built that actually worked, and it lost!
