the femoral artery, it's the largest in your body. I don't have first hand experience, however i do know that a tourniquets sole purpose is to put pressure on a hemorrhaging artery or vein. Therefore yes I believe it would work if you got the the person and applied the tourniquet very diligently.

The Airsoft shoot plastic pellets and can still be used for target practice. The only danger with that is if you get hit in the eye.

Yep, these aren't toys...a long time back a kid i knew got shot in the head with a high velocity gun...luckly it passed between the skin and bone of his forehead, put a groove in his skull and left two nice snakebite looking scars, not to mention a lot of blood. Doctor said two inches to the left and he may have died or rendered blind. Still, they are fun and deadly accurate.

angharingbastos i think a pellet can travel through a human skull depending on the distance. i shot a deer in archery then after it was processsed i took the skull out in my yard and with my pellet gun (storm xt) at 1200 fps i shot it from 25 yards and it went clean through the skull on both sides.

@NeoNSPETSNAZ, you may know that the velocity itself is less important than the total energy, i.e. the mass of the pellet plus the speed. Only the most powerful .22 PCP models can operate close to the energy of a .22 firearm cartridge.

That's not to say that spring pellet guns aren't dangerous if you get hit in the wrong place. I think BB guns are especially risky since they ricochet a lot more.
