I have been trying to catch a pike for a long time. Then on the day that im not fishing for one and im reeling in a small bass i feel a tug on the line and then the next thing i know i have a nice sized pike. Made my day
@WOLFGANGER666 Bomber Long A floating -Perfect for all water conditions inexpensive and in my opinion out performs most 12-15 dollar lures. I like the silver with blue back for clear water.
@WOLFGANGER666 in any good tackle shops buy a lure called little shakespeare or catch a little silver fish then puntchure it just near the top with a pin or scisors the blood will gradualy attact the pike i do it at my local country park and catch jumbo perch and pike from 4-8lbs ftw!
@WOLFGANGER666 I dont really care for the brand crap, i just buy a huge ass split-orange crankbait... Biggest i`ve caught was 32lbs musky, biggest pike was 27.
Actually pike can be killing machines, but only in Europe do they get treated badly because in America they are some of the most persude fish and pike are very hardy so you can leave a treble hook in them but you should learn how to do a through the gill hook removal so you don't take a chance of hurting it

I do best with Mepps size 4 and 5 especially Red Dot Fury and blue without dressing. Biggest this year 34 inches but caught over 50 this summer and many small mouths too :)
After an 11 year break from fishing i've just started again and pike are the only fish i aim for now. I caught a jack pike (3lb) and a 9lb 2oz Pike last weekend. both caught on spinners - i was also live baiting with a small Gueden (thats a bad spelling meitake lol) and ended up catching a 1lb 2oz perch which i was very surprised about.
Nice vid, one of the few on here where the people seem to know how to treat pike. I hope to catch some pike with fly gear later this year, been really into my predators recently after breaking a best pike of 23lbs from the Trent in january. Cant wait for the 16th!

leving the hookes in the fish does not harm it as much as you may think pike can desolve hookes in ther stomace but alwayes try to get them out
