plug doors are a give-away that its an IMU100, as is unit number and front paint design.

@amnickable It's a 6-car IMU. The EMU is mostly likely towing the (likely failed) IMU back to the depot.

before QR installed 6ft fences we walked the track between dakabin to narangba ,i must say a very strong smell of tea-tree's on the walk ..but enjoyable.. back about 1990

Thats not entirely accurate. SMU's and EMU's are indeed coupler-able, however the doors will not operate on the following train. Ergo, this vid is not fake, as far as I can see.

Nice sparks! @ the start of the vid with the 12 car set the units trailing the EMU's were Interurban Multiple Units (IMU) not Suburban Multiple Units (SMU)
