Yeah that's awesome. The true test to anyones workmanship or a products claims is to do it on an old, neglected black car. Nothing shows up more than god damn webs on black cars. I bought a 2006 Black Mustang as my first car (Used), I brought it home all happy and stuff.
I didn't know too much about cars back then but then I looked at it in the sun and it was like horror... a few days of reading+gathering materials+detailing...car looked better than showroom :D
I would bet anything that both of your cars have swirl marks in the paint. More than likely they came from the dealership already swirled up. Check each car under the proper lighting, especially the black vette, and you will be surprised what you will see.
i know they both have swirl marks its just hard to see were you were working because its white i going to put mequirs scratch x on it to remove it if that dosent work im going to get it profesinoly detailed

nothing like enjoying the fruits of the your labor. I love staring at my car after I give it a good paint cleaning, polish, and wax.

i have a suburban but its white and the only black car we have is a corvette but we hardly ever take it out to get swirl marks or anything
